December Prayerlink

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also the Greek.”

In this month’s prayerlink, partners share testimony after testimony of God’s miraculous work of salvation of the lost, healing for the broken, and freedom for the oppressed. This comes as a great reminder that we must not feel ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ because it is the power of God for salvation, even as it applies to our support of indigenous missionaries. As we link our hearts to the missionaries, this powerful gospel message goes forth and lives are eternally impacted.

Worldlink is halfway through our year-end matching challenge campaign. We invite you to intentionally pray for God’s provision of the entire amount of the match and beyond. God’s provision here results in supporting 458 new missionaries vetted for 2025. Our unashamed commitment to pray, advocate, and give, directly results in furthering the ministry of Worldlink missionary partners who are unashamed to preach this gospel to those least reached.

AFRICA REGION

Sun 1. Denis – Kenya
We have been discipling one family where only one member was a believer, yet the entire family attends Bible study. They have joined us for several church services and even invited a Muslim friend to hear the gospel. We studied "Power in the Name of Jesus" during the visit and watched a video based on Acts 3. Following many home visits and Bible study, this family has drawn closer to God. Pray that they may all soon come to faith in our Lord.

Mon 2. Sola – Plateau, Nigeria

Rhoda's life was marked by sexual addiction, leaving her feeling trapped and incapable of doing anything right. But after encountering Jesus, her life was transformed. The chains of addiction were broken as she experienced intensive discipleship. Pray that she continues to pursue Christ with all her heart.

Tue 3. Sali & Delphine – Cameroon
We traveled through four villages, proclaiming the gospel to over 1,800 people. Thanks be to God for 413 new believers, 15 of whom have been recently baptized. Many brought their charms for destruction. As I plan to relocate to Doukoula, near the border with Chad, pray for strength and wisdom in this new chapter of ministry.

Wed 4. Neo – South Africa
A new believer, Sipho was eager to share his newfound faith with his family. Initially unsupportive, they were reluctant to accept his desire to attend church. We prayed for him, asking God to give him the courage to speak with his family and for them to witness Christ's love in his life. Thank God for the ongoing support of the community of believers as Sipho remains hopeful and dedicated to his mission.

Thu 5. Franck – Benin

Dogouin Samuel and his family had long lived in idolatry and strongly rejected the gospel. But Samuel's heart was touched by the message of Christ, and he accepted Jesus as his Lord. His family opposed him fiercely, even blaming him for a sickness that fell upon them. When Samuel prayed for their healing, they were miraculously restored, yet they still refused to follow Christ. Pray that God opens their eyes to the truth of the gospel and gives Samuel the grace to remain a faithful witness.

Fri 6. Robert – Benin
Brother Etienne was once caught in idolatry and adultery, but upon hearing the gospel and accepting Christ, his life was completely transformed. However, soon after his conversion, he fell critically ill. Praise God for healing him and for helping him remain steadfast in his faith. His transformation is a powerful testimony to God's hand on his life.

Sat 7. Jean-Pierre – Togo
"My name is Gratien, and my life has been completely transformed because I know who I am in Christ. I was married but lived in adultery, spending my time in beer parlors pursuing other people's wives. I went to church, and prayed, but was spiritually dead. When I was reconciled with God through Jesus Christ, I became a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Thank God for filling my life and family with joy and His unconditional love."

Sun 8.  Kossivi Amouzou - Togo
ABD, a young man, spent his life in constant fear of being killed by the witch doctors in his family and community. Since accepting Jesus Christ, he has been delivered from this terror and now joyfully testifies to the freedom and peace Christ offers. Pray that the Lord will keep him growing in his faith.

Mon 9. Innocent – Benin
The church I lead follows the Lord's command to be a missional church. Every month, we go door-to-door to share the gospel message. This quarter, three people came to faith, including a single mother of two, who had resorted to prostitution to support her family. Through the church's assistance, she has started a small business. Pray for God's blessings on her new venture. Please pray for continued maturing in Christ.

Tue 10. Augustin – Cameroon
From April 18th to 21st, we conducted an evangelistic campaign in Dongo village. By God's grace, 20 people gave their lives to Jesus. Many were also healed and freed from demonic possession. The area had suffered from abnormal phenomena, and we prayed for the liberation of the territory during our campaign. Pray that God protects the new believers and for their continued discipleship under a local pastor.

Wed 11. Samuel Chei – Benin
Agossa Florent, once a fervent voodoo practitioner and opponent of evangelical Christians, was reached during our evangelistic outreach. Upon hearing the gospel, his heart was softened, and he accepted Christ. Today, Florent is a passionate soul-winner for Christ. We give glory to God for this transformation.

Thu 12. Daniel & Rolande - Togo

"I grew up in an idolatrous family. My father was a voodoo priest. Unknown to me, he had encountered the Lord, accepted Him as his Savior, and discarded all his voodoo practices. One day, I approached him with a desperate situation, expecting to receive a powerful 'recipe' to destroy someone's life. To my surprise, he told me he had already thrown the recipe away, but he had another recipe that was more potent than anything in the whole world. I was very happy as I looked forward to receiving this potion. The potion turned out to be the gospel of Christ. The message touched my heart, and I accepted Christ as my savior.” - Djihoulande. Thank God for his saving grace which is extended to all.

Fri 13. Pamazi – Togo

In the last three months, we have conducted evangelism sessions in a neighborhood where we aim to plant a church. Every Sunday after worship, we go there for visits. God in his grace has provided a portion of land where we have started worshipping. The devil stirred up the people against us, but the Lord heard our cry and calmed the situation. Pray for His protection and that He would build His church there.

Sat 14. Isaac – Kenya
I have been appointed to a peace committee in a remote part of Kenya. The committee consists of 8 Imams and only 2 Christians. This opportunity allows us to reach out to these Imams and the predominantly Muslim community. Our church is the only church in the area. We have faced a season when members were losing their faith and there was fear of threats of attacks on believers. Pray for grace to remain strong and vocal.

ASIA REGION

Thu 19. Farhaan - India
Over the past six months, my wife and I have had the privilege of sharing the gospel with lorry and truck drivers. Approximately 700 people heard the gospel message for the first time. Despite challenges, including opposition and financial difficulties, God has granted us strength. Our vision for the next six months is to reach two more villages and plant churches. Pray that God will guide us to those ripe for harvest.

Fri 20. Sheikh - India
Sarath is a radical and strong opponent of the preaching of the gospel. However, when he suffered a stroke, his wife came running to us in tears, seeking prayer. We went and prayed for him. God heard our cry and healed him miraculously. Today, Sarath worships with us, and we thank God for His miraculous work.

Sat 21. VEN - East Asia
Using the Bible character-sharing method, we trained 9th graders to mentor 7th and 8th graders in public school Bible clubs. The goal is to empower Christian students to confidently share their faith. Pray that these students will boldly carry the gospel to their communities.

Sun 22. Eshavalli - India
Through building friendships and holding house church meetings, we have seen God open doors for ministry. We have conducted fasting prayer sessions, and house visits, with several women coming to faith through counseling conducted by my wife. Thank God for His ongoing work in these lives.

Mon 23. Sin – Cambodia
On our outreach from village to village in our commune, 22 people heard the gospel. We thank God for 3 individuals who came to faith in Christ, with one being baptized. Kut, 17, was one of the three. Her friend brought her to church to hear the gospel and receive prayers for her finals. The Lord ministered to her. She believed and was baptized.

Tue 24. John N – India
In tribal regions, witchcraft remains a major challenge. People are deeply tied to traditions, including making sacrifices with village leaders forcing participation in tribal worship. Since I accepted Christ as my Savior, I have faced constant pressure, including threats on my life. But God is my strength. Please pray that I may continue to stand firm in my faith, despite these challenges.

Wed 25. Phanna – Cambodia
As we celebrate Christmas, we thank God for the active involvement of every member of our congregation in sharing his message. Every Saturday and Sunday evening, the three adult home groups reach out to adults, while the youth ministry reaches out to 30-50 young people on Saturdays. Our children's outreach occurs on Sunday evenings, and our sports team ministers to 40 youth once a month. We continue to pray that God will bring many to faith through these efforts.

Thu 26. EFH – East Asia
I am grateful for the opportunity to mentor seminary students in personal evangelism. Initially, many students struggled with shyness and hesitated to share the gospel. However, they have overcome these fears, and some have already seen people come to faith because of their witnessing. This has been a great encouragement for all of us. Our prayer is that God will bring many to faith through their ministry.

Fri 27. Manasseh – India
Despite the severe persecution in our region, God has continued to help us reach the Interior regions. Over the past months, we shared the gospel in 13 villages in the Koya and Goan areas, where witchcraft, sorcery, and human sacrifices are still practiced. In the coming months, we plan to reach out to 13 more villages, distributing 30,000 gospel tracts. Please pray for fruitful ministry in these areas.

Baptism - India

Sat 28. Nguyen – Vietnam
Our church has begun distributing gospel tracts monthly. Last August, we distributed more than 160 tracts. We also host evangelistic youth meetings, and of the 10 newcomers, 2 have received Christ as their Savior. YM sister prayed for and shared the gospel with one of them, and though she initially did not respond, she later contacted us and said she wanted to come to church. We praise God for drawing her to Himself in His perfect timing.

Sun 29. Niranjan – India
Bulugu was raised in an animistic family and tormented by evil spirits, suffering from various illnesses. After fasting and praying for him, God delivered and healed him completely. He is now undergoing discipleship. Please pray for his steady growth and that he will become an effective witness for Christ in his community.

Mon 30. Kinchen – Cambodia
Our gospel outreach has focused on the Prey Phul community, where we recently moved. We focused attention on Authority, our Children's English and Bible classes through which we can approach the parents as well. In addition to visiting homes and praying for the sick, we participate in monthly prayer movements with other churches. We thank the Lord for 18 students who have received Jesus as their Savior.

Tue 31. RHI – East Asia
We recently reached out to a new area that I had avoided, believing it was too difficult and dry for any fruitful ministry. However, God has already blessed us with two new believers. We thank God for these blessings and ask for prayer for continued fruitful ministry in this area.

ORLA, a 21-year-old involved in violence, drugs, and a criminal religious sect, was one of the most violent youths in his community. He, along with his grandmother and aunty, came into the house where our small group was meeting. They heard the gospel message and tearfully prayed to receive Jesus as their Savior. That same day, ORLA brought all his paraphernalia of witchcraft. We prayed over them and destroyed them. Praise God for this complete transformation and peace now reigning in their family.
