AFRICA REGION
Sat 1. Richard – Congo DR
Thank God for Ivette who was saved from addiction to drugs and alcohol. She was out of control and rebellious as she continued in her evil way for many years. She received the Lord at a seminar and immediately left her gang. Pray that the Lord may help her to remain steadfast in her new faith.
Sun 2. Metsing – Lesotho
Sends out audio devotions daily on the WhatsApp platform to minister the message of hope to recipients, especially during these uncertain times caused by COVID-19. There are currently 114 participants in the group. Pray that the messages may achieve their purpose in members lives and that more people may join the group.
Mon 3. Morris – Liberia
He has suffered serious ill health issues for a while, and to make matters worse he lost his son late last year. Last month he lost his wife, too. Please uphold him in your prayers and for God’s comfort, total healing, and safe keeping of the remaining three children.
Tue 4. Romain – Congo DR
He recently lost his father and had to travel 1000 km by vehicle and motorcycle on near-non-existent roads to attend the funeral. Thank God for journey mercies and pray for God’s comfort for him and the family. A new church has been planted on the outskirts of Bunia following a period of concerted evangelistic outreaches. Pray that the Lord may establish the fellowship.
Wed 5. Anastancia – Mozambique
Thank God for her year-long training in the School of Mission in Kenya that comes to an end this month. Thank God particularly for training received in child evangelism. Pray for open borders and safety as she returns to Mozambique to continue her ministry.
Thu 6. Mathe – Congo DR
During three evangelistic appointments he had with Ismail, Mathe asked several questions but zeroed in on the cross. Ismail wondered why Jesus had to die as a criminal and be under God’s curse. After understanding how Jesus took our sins upon himself, he accepted the Lord as his Saviour. Pray for effective follow-up, that Ismail may grow steadily in the Lord and be a source of witness to his family and fellow Muslims.
Fri 7. Lucas – Zanzibar, Tanzania
Has successfully contacted ten of the twenty schools in which he plans to give weekly Christian witness. He also hopes to train Christian teachers in each school to teach the classes so he may concentrate on supervision. Zanzibar is 95% Muslim. Please pray for the success of this program. Thank God also for giving him an opening to share the gospel message on the national broadcasting channel.
Sat 8. Lutete – Congo DR
A new neighborhood bible club was inaugurated in Kinkanda at the Friends of Jesus School. The first members were ten in number. Pray that the group may soon grow in number and fulfill its purpose in the lives of the pupils in the school.
Sun 9. Hellen & Wycliffe – Kenya
They are prayerfully considering relocating to the Horn of Africa in the next two years. Pray for God’s clear leading and open doors for the family. Wycliffe carried out two weeks of Discipleship and Mission training in Ethiopia recently. Pray that all 22 who participated in the training may become disciplers of others.
Mon 10. Patrick – Uganda
Conducted a ‘Dare to Discover’ training for 55 teachers. The trainees were equipped to help youths and teens discover their life purpose and use their God-given talents to impact their society. Thank God for five of the teachers who saw the need to give their lives to the Lord as they proceeded with the training. Thank God also for open door of ministry on BBS TV, a secular TV station with 14,000 viewers.
Tue 11. Gerard – Congo DR
Organized a training to equip youth leaders to facilitate Bible study and mentor and disciple other youths. Thank God for touching the hearts of some of the trainees to realize they were not yet disciples of Jesus and convincing them to give their lives to him.
Wed 12. Shaka – The Gambia
In January he organized a talent show and a farewell service for students in grade 12 who will be passing from secondary schools to universities. Thank God for a Fula girl from Brikama Methodist School who accompanied her Christian friends from the school to the talent show. The Lord touched her heart and she received Him as her Saviour.
Thu 13. David – East Congo DR
He organized a Bible seminar on healing inner trauma for displaced brethren who fled the horrors of war and massacre in Rwenzori. Please pray for peace in East Congo DR. The UN Human Rights Chief warned of worsening violence there with at least 2945 civilians (including 553 women and 286 children) who were killed in the conflict in 2020, a rise of 21% compared with 2019.
Fri 14. Jean-Baptiste – Rwanda
Since COVID has curtailed field visits, we have restricted our Bible reading promotion to a few local churches. Thank God for 24 members of my church who bought Bible reading materials and committed to read the Bible every day. Pray for lifting of restrictions so we can carry out our plan to meet every Sunday with all Bible reading material users for encouragement.
Sat 15. Mzwabantu – South Africa
He ministers weekly in life-skills clubs in two schools. Participants in the two schools total about 1300 students. Please pray for effective and fruitful ministry among these young people.
Sun 16. Worldlink USA
Praise the Lord for the safe delivery on April 15 of Worldlink Home Team member Jenna’s first baby, a daughter (Avis Ray), named for Jenna’s grandmother and Kyle’s grandfather. Pray for the new parents and for Avis to remain healthy.
ASIA REGION
Mon 17. RK – India
Our frontline Missionaries are passionately reaching the Unreached in many parts of India and especially in some of the most dangerous states. I had a blessed time of visiting and equipping our missionaries working in Orissa, with the Koya tribe, and in Uttar Pradesh State. The harvest in Uttar Pradesh is plenteous. Pray for our missionaries who are currently ministering among 13 of the 737 unreached people groups in the State.
Tue 18. Yohanu – India
He ministered to about 90 people during personal and open-air evangelistic meetings conducted in some villages. Thank God for Thatti Venkathama, an old woman and the only one who responded to our message. Pray for her steady growth.
Wed 19. Dhruba – Nepal
Thank God for the opportunity to hold Vacation Bible School (VBS) in Tanahu and Jhapa districts early this year. Though the camps were not like what we used to have (each camp for three days with about 200 children), we were able to run one-day camps in three different places both in Tanahu and Jhapa districts. Each camp ministered to a total of 248 children.
Thu 20. D. Paul Raj – India
Thank God for drawing Madhusudonrao of Thanda village to himself recently. The changes from the evil habits he was addicted to is obvious. The Lord totally delivered him, and he is now an active participant in our church activities. Pray that the Lord may sustain him and continue to reveal himself and his power in Madhusudonrao’s life.
Fri 21. Johnson – India
Conducted gospel meetings in Gudipadu, Pillavagu, Veta Chesuvu and Bangarbalu villages. The outreaches were supported with prayer and fasting. Of the sixty people who heard the message, thank God for three people who responded to the invitation to make Christ their Lord and Saviour. These include Soyam Suresh and his wife Krupamma, who were both delivered of evil spirits that were tormenting them and driving people away from them.
Sat 22. Timothy – Sri Lanka
He visited three schools and one children’s home before lockdown. Lockdown made it impossible to run planned children’s camps, but he has been ministering online. Timothy prepared Bible lessons for kids in all three languages and telecast these on the YouTube channel. Thank God also for online Sunday worship services which have ministered to many people including a couple who experienced restoration of God’s peace in their relationship.
Sun 23. Pao – India
Although we could not go about freely, the Lord enabled us during the quarter to witness one-on-one and family to family. We were also able to share the Gospel message in a few fellowship meetings and sometimes through phone calls. Thank God for about ten people who responded to our message even though they are yet to join our fellowship.
Mon 24. Ching – India
I continue to spend most of my time around the school complex, teaching the children, conducting fellowship meetings, and attending to school matters. Pray for good health so she can continue to take care of all the responsibilities for the Lord and His kingdom. Pray also for the school and effective witness among the children.
Tue 25. Paul Babu - India
Was able to conduct Gospel meetings in five villages as well as youth and women’s conferences in Dasepandu village. Pray for Korra Prasad, who came to faith in Christ during the period, that the changes God has produced in his life may be permanent and be a clear testimony to many.
Wed 26. K Paul Raj - India
Thank God for his healing power that was at work in the life of Dulga and for subsequently drawing her to put her faith in him. Pray that she may submit fully to him and dedicate her life to love and serve our Lord.
Thu 27. Babulal – India
Babulal is a missionary in training in Worldlink’s Missionary Training Institute (MTI). He writes: “I had never heard anything about Indian Church History. Learning this has changed my life. I resolve to devote my life to serve Jesus and witness boldly like the early missionaries did in India.” Pray that he may keep faithful to his resolve. Pray for the other students, too, for God’s anointing upon them.
Fri 28. Achinta – India
He thanks God for grace to share the Gospel message with 268 people in three villages during the reporting period. We thank the Lord for drawing 15 people to faith and for 6 new believers who were baptised. We also started three church plants in the area. Please pray that the Lord may establish these new believers as well as the new fellowships.
Sat 29. Thatti – India
Vadavi of Prabhavathunagar village has been worshipping many gods and goddesses from childhood. We happened to be visiting her home around the time her son was seriously ill. We shared the gospel message and prayed for her son. The Lord healed her son, and she forsook her idols to receive God’s offer of salvation. Pray that she may grow in her knowledge of the Saviour.
Sun 30. Paida – India
His team ministered to about 160 people during Gospel meetings organised in four villages. Thank God for five people who accepted the Lord as their Saviour. Pray for God’s provision for a new church building they are planning to erect in a new village.
Mon 31. Suman – India
God has opened new doors of ministry in two places, one in Magroom village and the other in the town among the student community. Pray for effective witness in these two areas. Pray particularly that we may have one church in Magroom where we currently have more than 10 members.
