AFRICA REGION
Thu 1. Ezekiel – Plateau, Nigeria
Thank God for successful children’s rallies conducted in 16 centers in the state. The rallies ministered to 2,663 children. Thank the Lord for drawing 317 children to himself. Pray for their follow-up which will mainly be in their school Bible clubs.
Fri 2. Shina – Plateau State, Nigeria
We rejoice with Shina and Grace and thank God for the safe arrival of their baby girl, Peace OreOluwa (God’s gift) on February 26. Recall that they lost their last two children before each child’s first birthday while serving in Sokoto state. Pray for God’s continuous protection upon Ore and the family.
Sat 3. Stellah – Tanzania
Thank God for helping us set up 171 new Bible listening groups in the past quarter. These groups gather regularly to listen to the scripture read via recording in their own language and to understand and respond to what it says. Many of the groups cater to families while others are targeted groups serving hearing, sight, and speech-impaired, elderly people, etc. Some of the groups will serve as follow-up clubs for thousands of students who came to faith in Christ during the recent special evangelistic outreach in schools. Also pray for Tanzania as they mourn the death of their President.
Sun 4. Hellen & Wycliffe – Kenya
We have over 120 people, mainly teens, on our mentorship radar in less-reaches areas in Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Djibouti. We engage with them weekly to find out how they are doing and their progress in discipling people who in turn will disciple others. Pray for God’s blessing on each of these disciples and their ministries.
Mon 5. Albino – Yobe State, Nigeria
Thank God for a successful wedding in December. Pray that he and Nefarya may achieve more for the Lord as they serve Him together. Thank God for two students who made decisions for Christ during ministry at a local college.
Tue 6. Ezechias – Rwanda
Camps were postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic but they were able to train 774 pastors and children's teachers when the embargo on meetings was lifted. Pray that those trained will reach the children in their families and schools and prepare to welcome children to church when they are finally allowed to participate in worship services.
Wed 7. Yinka – Nigeria
We were glad to welcome students back to school even though Covid-19 poses quite a challenge for everyone. I was glad to see that the young girl who finally gave her life to Christ last term has remained faithful to the Lord and making good progress. Please pray for her steady growth. Pray also for other members of my discipleship group.
Thu 8. Sibongele – South Africa
Thank God for the opportunity to minister to the needs of some students who are dealing with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Mokgomotsi’s father and brother both lost their jobs due to Covid-19. Although she is not a fellowship member, we gave her material support which her family very much appreciated. Thank God for our donors and pray that our expression of love may draw her and her family to the Lord.
Fri 9. Abolaji – Plateau State Nigeria
Thank God for 16 young people who were baptized in January, one of whom is Gladys, Abolaji’s daughter. Pray that each may grow in their faith to maturity. Thank God for the opportunity to facilitate the leadership program of 45 post-secondary school group officials. Pray that they may all direct the affairs of their groups effectively.
Sat 10. David – Congo DR
Conducted a spiritual retreat for elders and pastors of several churches in Beni city. He also visited the churches and shared the message of the gospel with members. Thank God for 12 people who came to faith in the Lord Jesus during the quarter.
Sun 11. Emmanuel – Borno, Nigeria
Conducted “Send Forth” programs in two institutions for a total of 265 final year students. A week-long evangelistic outreach was conducted in the University of Maiduguri. The last night attracted over 700 students, eight of whom came to faith in the Lord that night. Thank God for them.
Mon 12. Hannah & Philip – Ghana
Pray for the Good News Bible Club started that was started last year. Pray that the Lord may draw more children to join, and that the government assembly man may respond favorably to their request to use the Area Council building for their weekly club meetings.
Tue 13. Dotun – S. Kaduna, Nigeria
Organized a special program for the Bible Club being held in their house. The program ministered to 4 to 11-year-old children. It was an awesome moment as many parents decided to join the program. Sixteen of the 65 people in attendance came to faith in our Lord. Thank God for them and pray that the seed sown will grow in their faith. Also thank God for the safe arrival of Blessing EwaOluwa (God’s beauty) into the family.
Wed 14. James – Plateau, Nigeria
In mid-February, a colleague in their office was infected with Covid-19 and she in turn infected three other staff. All the staff had to undergo testing, and the office was closed for two weeks. Thank God for healing all infected people and for protecting all the other staff and their families.
Thu 15. Jackson - Tanzania
We thank God for opening the doors of ministry for us on the radio and television where we have been broadcasting our value education programs. The programs on the radio reached an average of over 300,000 listeners per month during the last quarter of 2020. Thank God for 72 listeners who responded to our messages.
Fri 16. Cyprian – Sokoto, Nigeria
Inaugurated a new Bible club in a local secondary school with 134 initial members. He also ministered to 130 students during the revival weekend he facilitated at a local polytechnic college. Pray that the ministry received may bear lasting fruit in the lives of all participants.
Sat 17. Worldlink USA
Pray for a safe and healthy delivery this month for the baby daughter of Jenna, Worldlink Home Team member, and her husband Kyle. Pray that their daughter would grow to know, love, and serve the Lord.
ASIA REGION
Sun 18. Jessy & Suku – India
Despite Covid-19 restrictions, we have been able to conduct worship services with social distancing, conducting daily prayers, visiting, and praying for the sick. Laxmi, 60, was one of the sick people we visited. He could neither walk nor move. We shared the gospel message with him and prayed for his healing. Thank God for opening his heart to respond to the gospel message and healing him.
Mon 19. Manasseh - India
Manasseh is a student at MTC (Missionary Training Center). His testimony, “I knew nothing about Hinduism. I used to think they are just idol worshippers. But this course has helped me to understand them clearly. Now I am equipped and excited to share the gospel with them.” Pray that God will continue to minister to the students at the center as they progress in their training.
Tue 20. Moody – India
Conducted gospel meetings in a local village with about 150 people in attendance. Thank God for a few families who were blessed during the program. Pray that the seeds sown may bear eternal fruit in the lives of the people.
Wed 21. Manori – Sri Lanka
Although all programs were cancelled because of COVID lockdown, God gave me the opportunity to start two kid’s clubs in the beach area during this period. Pray for steady growth of the clubs and effective ministry among the children.
Thu 22. Manuwar – Pakistan
Conducted Sunday school teachers’ training with a good number of teachers in attendance. Thank God for grace to influence the teachers for Christ. Pray that they may utilize the trainings they have received for the spiritual progress of the children in their churches.
Fri 23. RK – India
We were surprised one day to notice nearly 100 motorcyclists in front of our MTI (Missionary Training Institute) campus gate chanting radical Hindu slogans and threatening us. God however gave us much grace. We all just kept very quiet and were praying to God for his intervention. After a few hours, they left the place. Thank God for his mighty hand that protected us during this episode. Pray for continued protection.
Sat 24. Anonymous – East Asia
We lost ST, one of our disciples from the BU tribe. She was sick with cancer, and the Lord called her home. However, we are thankful that ST stood firm in her faith to the end of her life. We continue to minister to her family and hope to see them become new disciples who will also persevere in their faith just like ST.
Sun 25. Timothy – Sri Lanka
On the first Sunday in February, he conducted a virtual Bible study session for 40 children in Tamil language. The children gathered in their local church in Ratnapura. Thank God for the opportunity to impact the lives of the children.
Mon 26. James – Bhutan
Despite the difficulties and challenges posed by Covid-19, we still have been able to continue our children’s ministry in our country which has less than ½% Christians. God has opened various ways of reaching out to them. Please continue to pray for effective ministry to the children.
Tue 27. Matthew – India
Has engaged in house-to-house visitation and tract distribution in a few villages. Has also been encouraging believers during this tough period with many without jobs or means of livelihood. Please pray for God’s intervention in their lives.
Wed 28. Dhruba – Nepal
Organized a Zoom Vacation Bible School (VBS) in November. Christian leaders from about 11 churches partnered with him to ensure the children receive the VBS books and Zoom link. A total of 161 children, aged between 5 and 12, registered for the VBS but only 100 participated mainly due to lack of equipment and internet. Thank God for the immense blessings the children received from the program.
Thu 29. Prem – India
My team and I witness in the Udaipur area. It has been difficult to do this freely because of the pandemic but the Lord has helped us, and we were able to prepare five people for baptism. Thank God for these new believers. Please pray for provision to save our church building from collapse due to erosion.
Fri 30. Suraj - India
One of the blessed incidents was the deliverance of the daughter of one of our church members. She was possessed by an evil spirit. Our family visited them and prayed for this girl. Thank God for delivering her completely. The family remains very active in the church.
