Covid-19 has infected 19 of our partners in South Asia. Please pray for mild symptoms, rapid recoveries, and ministry opportunities as each partner quarantines in their homes or ministry areas.
AFRICA REGION
Fri 2. Johnkessly – Kaduna, Nigeria
After a long period of isolation, we had the opportunity to organize a physical meeting with the children within our neighborhood. Sixty-four children participated in the Bible club meeting. We thank the Lord for drawing 17 of the children into His kingdom.
Sat 3. Kiki – Benin
Thank God for successful training of camp leaders that we managed to conduct at the end of June. There were a total of 124 children and teen camp leaders in attendance. The training focused on the Theme: From Jacob to Israel, The transforming power of fellowship with God.
Sun 4. Nestor – Congo DR
We paid unscheduled visits to the families of a few former BAMATU girls (former prostitutes who were rescued and brought to freedom, health, and new life in Christ) to see how they are doing. We thank God for two girls who have been married and were blessed with new babies. Augu and Dorcas had their first baby (Gradel Cibangu) and Matthieu and Alpha their second baby (Phineas).
Mon 5. Ezechias -Rwanda
During the lockdown, I created two WhatsApp groups with a total of 320 membership. The goal was to keep in touch with them and share audio, video, and written sermons with them. We continued to share the word of God every day and invited different preachers to share God’s word with the group. Pray that the words shared may continue to impact the lives of all who heard them.
Tue 6. Dennis – Uganda
In June, we launched the online Values Education classes as a part of reaching out with God’s Good News. I was able to set up 5 classes for different ages. We had an average of 130 children and teens participating in the 6-week sessions on Self Control. Thank God for the encouraging responses that have come from both parents and children.
Wed 7. Irmiya – Yobe, Nigeria
Was able to visit 12 families for fellowship and to encourage them in their personal Christian faith. Also, to alert them to be prepared for renewed ministry after the Covid-19 lockdown. Thank God for the impact of the pastoral visits on the 23 people he called on.
Thu 8. Jackson – Tanzania
We thank God for opening the door of ministry on Rumuli FM Radio where we have been broadcasting Value Education lessons. The broadcast is for teens and their parents. About 137 people sent feedback on the first lesson: Forgiveness and Purity. We thank God for giving us another avenue of ministry even after lockdown.
Fri 9. Bolaji – Plateau, Nigeria
He shared the word of God during the worship service of a Church in Mungyel. Thank God for 10 people who came to faith in the Lord. Thank God also for the opportunity to bring the message during the inaugural meeting of the church’s couples’ fellowship. Pray that this new group may help the couples to better understand God’s plan for the family
Sat 10. Jean-Baptiste – Rwanda
We thank God for support that enabled us to cater for the needs of 55 vulnerable families during the confinement period.
Sun 11. Ezekiel – Plateau, Nigeria
The lockdown due to the Corona Virus pandemic has given me great opportunity to spend time with God alone and with my family. I have had more time to study God’s word and hear from him regarding my life, my family, and ministry. I also thank God for enabling me to write a book during this period. Pray that the book may minister to many lives.
Mon 12. Berhanu – Ethiopia
Organized distribution of children's materials to Christian parents in Addis Ababa. In partnership with El-Shaddi TV Network, we organized a TV program to give the parents guidance on how to use these materials and show the GOD-Man movie to their children. Since the lockdown does not permit the assembly of children in churches, we are empowering parents to minister to their children. Pray that parents may take this responsibility seriously.
Tue 13. Simeon – Sierra Leone
Since April, I have been leading a cell group of three families in my community. We are fifteen in the group. Since churches are closed for now, we all gather every Monday in one of the homes that have big enough space to accommodate 30-40 people. Thank God for the blessings that members have received from the teachings.
Wed 14. Stellah – Tanzania
We thank God for the resumption of schools and colleges. This enabled us to commence our school ministries as usual. We started ministry with a prayer session organized for Form six students the day before they commenced their national examination. We had 27 students in attendance. Please pray for a fruitful ministry even though assemblies are yet to return to normal.
Thu 15. Emmanuel – Borno, Nigeria
Visited the volunteers in one of the branches for the first time after the lockdown was relaxed in his state. The purpose of the meeting was to fellowship with the brethren and encourage them to be ready for resumption of ministry in schools. Thank God for the fruitful time he had with the 12 people in attendance.
Fri 16. James – Plateau, Nigeria
The family faced some health problems during the past quarter. James is being treated for high blood pressure and his wife for an eye infection and malaria. Please pray for their total recovery. Thank God for a successful online conference which he co-facilitated with others. The conference ministered to over 1,000 viewers.
ASIA REGION
Sat 17. Suku & Jessy – India
The Lord has enabled us to start a Bible school. We have twenty inaugural students who are attending class every day. Most of them are young people in our churches. Please pray that they may gain all the knowledge they need as they prepare to serve the Lord in different areas of calling.
Sun 18. Aung – Bangladesh
I have been sharing the gospel of Christ in Naikhongchari area. In the past three months 20 people heard the gospel message. I am pained when people refuse to listen to the message I proclaim. Please pray that the Lord may bring a change of heart so that many may listen to and respond positively.
Mon 19. Benson – India
I have had the opportunity to share the gospel with the inmates of a prison. Even during the lockdown, the door remains open to me. Thank God for 8 inmates who recently received the Lord’s salvation. Pray for effective follow-up.
Tue 20. Isaac – Bhutan
Our language training which had to stop for a while has now recommenced and is progressing smoothly. Thank God for many non-believers who regularly attend the lessons. Pray that God may touch their hearts as we interact with them.
Wed 21. Padmanabham – India
Thank God for His grace that sustains Padmanabham as he continues to face severe kidney problem. He goes for dialysis three days a week after which he is often tired. Please pray for strength and God’s intervention. Thank God for grace to continue to visit homes and engage in one-on-one evangelism.
Thu 22. Bismat – Pakistan
My ministry focuses on helping to proofread, promote, and dispatch daily Urdu daily Bible reading materials. I ministered to about 1,400 people in the last months as I meet with families and visit churches, schools, and hostels to promote the materials. Pray that the materials will continue to help people meet with God daily and obey His word.
Fri 23. Jefry – India
I am working in a Hindu area where, despite the current difficulties, we have been able to share the gospel message through house visits and personal evangelism. Thank God for three souls who were recently added to His kingdom. Please pray for restoration of one of our young men who is backsliding.
Sat 24. ATM – East Asia
While SG, one of our disciples, was working as a trash scavenger, he met JM and invited him for coffee. This gave SG the opportunity to share the Good News with JM and praise the Lord, he accepted Jesus as his savior. JM is one of the three people we baptized between January and June. Thank the Lord for drawing them to Himself.
Sun 25. Bhuban – India
I visited 18 houses where I shared the gospel message with 36 people. The Lord blessed our ministry with three souls. Thank God for these new believers and pray for their steady growth.
Mon 26. Manori – Sri Lanka
Thank God for the opportunity to organize a gospel program for families in a school in Ingiriya, two one-day children’s programs and online programs for children. During these programs, 15 of the children accepted Jesus as their Savior for which we thank the Lord.
Tue 27. D. Pentiyya – India
Thank God for the growth of our ministry among young people. He has enabled us to start a new youth group in our villages. Appalama and Krishna are a newly married couple whom the Lord drew to Himself as we shared the Good News with them. Pray for their home and for steady growth in their faith.
Wed 28. Simon – Burma
Thank God for the opportunity to share the gospel message with many children. The children are very receptive to the gospel and through them we have been reaching their parents too. The children also receive small gifts of exercise books, pencils, rulers, etc., as the government prepares to reopen schools.
Thu 29. Mutiyalyu – India
The Lord has just blessed us with a church building. We thank God for this special blessing and pray it will be a place for true worship for us and many out there whom He will draw to Himself.
Fri 30. Prem – India
Thank God for five new believers who have completed their classes and are now ready to be baptized. Pray that the Lord may send us a capable assistant. Our church building is in danger of collapsing because of erosion. Please pray for funds to erect a retaining wall.
Sat 31. Arnold – India
In March, I accompanied brother Punshi for ministry in Mizoram. Thank God for the opportunity to share my testimony and minister with gospel songs in different fellowships. Thank God also for my 80-year old grandmother who now joins us for family devotion. Please pray that she may very soon come to faith in Christ Jesus.
