Thank God for many of the girls who accepted Jesus as their personal Savior.

Despite the lockdown, we continued to find ways to share the gospel message in a village where I minister. About 50 people heard the gospel during the quarter. My grandmother, 75, has the desire to accept the Lord Jesus as her savior but fears the reaction of the family and community. Pray that she may have the courage to take the step of faith soon.
Mon 7. Alex – India

Thank God for His protection during this pandemic. Many people were attacked by the virus even in our village. God recently gave me the opportunity to share the gospel message with two people, who, of their own volition, came to ask more about the Lord Jesus. Thank God for surprising us.
Sat 12. ATM – East Asia
From February to March, the Baduy tribe closed off to the public as they conducted their Kawalu ritual. The ritual includes fasting and prayer to have peaceful lives and abundant harvest. It’s hard to meet with them during this period. Although the pandemic is raging, they do not practice social distancing. We have sought to educate them about Covid‐19 and safety protocols. Please pray for God to enlighten their hearts to receive the gospel.

We shared the gospel with students and teachers in a local village. Thank God for a special experience I had in March just before lockdown. Thank God for opening his heart to the message of salvation.

AFRICA REGION
Fri 18. Joshua & Esther – Kenya
We started the kitchen garden program by training some of our friends in the community to farm vegetables on their small pieces of land. This activity, despite the hard time caused by the pandemic, is creating a bridge between us and these unreached families. We discussed several issues in relation to the gospel. A seed of the gospel has been sown in the lives of 40 people, 5 of them hearing the message for the first time. Pray that these may bear much fruit for the kingdom of God.
Sat 19. Nelito & Amelia – Mozambique
We had 12 new believers during the past quarter. One of these, a Muslim woman, has been under the oppression of a spirit, a man who appears in her dream to sexually abuse her. The bad dream continued even after she received Christ with the evil spirit questioning her for abandoning him to seek God. He sometimes threatened to attack her. I prayed for her as I assured her that Jesus will deliver her. When the attack continued, I taught her to rebuke him in the name of Jesus. She did and God delivered her from that spirit. This has strengthened her faith and embolden her to share her faith with her neighbors. Thank God for His intervention.
Sun 20. Misanelle – Congo Brazzaville
Conducted a series of trainings in different areas to help people prepare and make the best of the lockdown. This series of trainings was launched in June and geared towards keeping students busy and assisting them to learn new skills. The trainings will end in September. Pray that the knowledge gained may assist the students to earn some income even after lockdown.
Mon 21. Hannah & Philip – Ghana
John Afi is blind but loves Jesus passionately. He has surpassed all in his enthusiasm as he testifies to Jesus using the wireless device and the Gonja gospel audio resource we provided for members of Kabache church. John never misses the opportunity presented at community events like funerals to share the gospel as he plays scripture songs and messages in Gonja. This often attracts a number of people who draw near and listen to the songs/messages. Thank God for such enthusiasm for the gospel despite his disability.

Five members of her family passed on during the quarter. Even though they were all elderly, the fact of burying one after the other was devastating. Please pray for comfort for the family. Since all our normal ministry activities came to a halt since the Covid-19 lockdown, I requested one of our Christian radio stations for airtime. Thank God for a few people who have called me to appreciate the teachings they have been receiving.

I wrote Bible notes for daily devotionals for youth leaders and young adults. We have also been looking at the way to minister to children post-Covid-19. We are considering a Chaplaincy program idea.
