April 2020 Prayerlink

Wed 1. Worldlink USA - Give Us This Day…

For more years than they would have wanted, the Israelites in the wilderness received their daily bread from God’s gracious hand. Jesus encouraged his followers to pray that God would give them their daily bread. For Worldlink our daily bread (supply) is the support gifts of God’s people. During these tumultuous times, Worldlink’s faithful monthly donors are continuing to give with little change. But we are dependent on the Lord to inspire giving by occasional donors who may be more susceptible to financial fluctuations. Pray that our Father will continue to provide our daily bread as we prayerfully and wisely invested in outreach.

ASIA REGION

Thu 2. Jonathan – India

Rajesh appeared to be under conviction when I shared the gospel message with him but is yet to make a definite decision. Pray for full conviction of the Holy Spirit. Thank God for a family that has joined our fellowship and for five people who were baptized during the past six months.

Fri 3. Lanuchuba – India

I am ministering among school children many of whom are Hindus and Muslims. Pray for wisdom as I labor in word and deed and for abiding fruit among them.

Sat 4. Lokeshowr - India

In Nambol, we organized a two-day house visitation program and held Gospel meetings in the evenings. Thank God for 7 people from Hindu background who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord. A similar program was held in my village during which 17 people dedicated their lives to the Lord. We are planning Vacation Bible School in these villages. Please pray for their success. Also pray for my wife, Luhini, who had to undergo 3 operations within three months.

Sun 5. Amber – Bhutan

A couple brought their very sickly one-year-old daughter for prayers. God answered our prayers and healed her completely. Both parents are now part of our church fellowship. Sadly, one Buddhist who came to faith and was baptized has given up the faith due to immense pressure from his relatives and village people. Every time we see him, we feel a deep pain. Please pray for him and for us too.

Mon 6. Nungsangmeren – India

My father passed away in November. He was my constant support and spent most of his time praying for me, my family, and our ministry [NOTE: Meren’s father lived with Meren and his wife and was 100 years old and had been a faithful missionary church planter for over 60 years].  I felt so empty and alone, but the Lord assured me that He is always with me and has comforted me. Praise be to His name! Thank God for the opportunity to visit migrant construction workers and share the love of Christ with them.

Tue 7. Philip – India

We are busy sharing the gospel message in Pagalmadu and Vengel. There is no church in these villages. Our plan is to start a prayer cell In Pagalmadu. We are also looking for a piece of land in Vengel where we can erect a church building. Pray that our Lord may work out His purpose in these two villages.

Wed 8. Anonymous – East Asia

We thank the Lord for giving us people to baptize. The disciples that we have been training have reached out to some people and baptized them and their families. From January to October 2019 our team baptized two people and one of our disciples, SP, baptized three people. SP now has active disciples. Praise the Lord that on June 22, he baptized his wife.

Thu 9. Shelly – India

I continue to minister to the kids in the children’s home, counselling the girls, teaching and helping them understand more about God. I also spent time with them in prayers. Thank God for spiritual and intellectual growth that is clearly visible in their lives.

Fri 10. Shurshila – India

In the last six months, we have organized gospel meetings in five places in Manipur. At each meeting, I had the privilege to talk personally to the women and counsel them. We experienced God’s abundant blessing on our meetings as about 30 people accepted Jesus Christ into their lives. Please pray for effective follow-up. My husband and I are overseeing ministry in four fellowship centers.

Sat 11. Gopal – India

We started the New Year with a burden and earnestly prayed that God should open doors of ministry in new areas. God answered instantly and opened the door to Paikola and Sosindha. My colleague, Subratho, and I have ministered to 87 families in these two villages. We are following up with 23 of them. Pray for a breakthrough in their lives and fruitful ministry in these villages.

Sun 12. Binny – Bhutan

A young man has been staying with us for the past two years. He was brought to us because of his drug addiction. After two years of ministering to him, he is now totally delivered from this evil way of life. He was also baptized and has gone back home to take charge of his family business, as is custom since he is the eldest son. Please pray for him.

Mon 13. Manoj – India

Ministering in Pooppara and its surroundings through gospel tract distribution and open-air-meetings. Thank God for one family that has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and redeemer. We hope they will soon join the church and be baptized.  Four other people also opened their hearts to Jesus Christ. Pray that God will establish them all in the faith.

Tue 14. Barnabas – India

Thank God for His intervention in Pajanda Rao’s life. He was involved in Satan worship and all kinds of sins. He was also suffering from paralysis. He heard the gospel message, accepted the Lord, and received God’s deliverance and healing after brethren prayed for him. He is now actively involved in the various church activities. Pray that the Lord will keep him faithful.

Wed 15. Marko – India

Thank God for a new church planted recently, for three people who came to faith in the Lord, two who are being prepared for baptism, and three others going through discipleship class. Mutha, one of the new believers, was totally sold to alcohol. He would not engage in any work and so could not provide for his family. Instead, he was a terror to them. God turned his life around to His praise and glory.

Thu 16. Kiran and Beulah - India

At the invitation of some significant donors, Kiran came to the United States to discuss ministry in India. Shortly after his arrival, travel to return to India became impossible. This leaves Beulah, Kiran‘s wife, alone in the midst of the pandemic in charge of their two biological kids and the 14 abandoned children they have rescued. Please pray for their safety and for travel restrictions to lift and allow Kiran to get home.

Sun 26. Steven – Yobe, Nigeria

We thank God Almighty for blessing our family with a baby boy, Yagkong (meaning It is Good), on January 9. It was a very emotional experience for my wife and I when we took him to the hospital for circumcision having lost our 15-day-old second child two years ago to complications during circumcision. But God showed us mercy this time. The circumcision was uneventful, and he has fully healed.

Thu 30. Joniel – Plateau, Nigeria

The students at the Jos Zone December conference initially exhibited a high level of indiscipline, many failing to adhere to the rules. Thank God for the complete change we experienced when we turned the conference over to the Lord in prayer. The Spirit of God took over the meeting and an awakening began in the hearts of the students. All the disobedience disappeared, and the conference concluded on a positive note.
