AFRICA REGION
Sun 1. Hannah & Philip – Ghana
Commissioned a borehole project for a well to serve the community. During the worship service that accompanied the commissioning, the gospel was proclaimed from John 4. Two weeks after, a two-day gospel revival campaign was conducted. Thank God for 36 people who received God’s salvation through our Lord Jesus.
Mon 2. Dennis & Janet – Kenya
For the first time, we conducted open-air preaching near the village among the Waatas. We organized 6-months of overnight prayers in this village prior to the open-air service. Thank God for 10 people who came to faith in our Lord. Thank God also for one of the locals who has a burden for mission and is currently undergoing training in to be an indigenous missionary. We hope and pray that he will join our team after the training.
Tue 3. Francois – Mali
Conducted training for Bible Study Group leaders in two cities for 22 young people. They were equipped with tools to lead their groups. An evangelism training provided practical guidance for Bible study group members as they prepared for a week of evangelistic outreach to their peers. Thirty high school students participated in the training. Pray that they all may be salt and light in their communities.
Wed 4. Anastancia – Mozambique
She shared the gospel message with teenagers and some mothers in her village and in Makonde village. These are attempts to soften the ground. Pray for bountiful harvest of souls soon. Pray also for a fruitful sojourn in Nairobi, Kenya where she is undergoing training for mission effectiveness.
Thu 5. Phumlani – South Africa
Organized the National Schools Leadership Camp with 110 delegates from all over the country in attendance. Five interns from 4 provinces are spending their gap year with him. In January, they had their first training block with sessions in evangelism, discipleship, and mission. Pray that their one-year stint may open the door of greater service in the coming years.
Fri 6. Tivakudze – Zimbabwe
Sebastian, an engineering student at Manicaland State University came for counseling at the end of the weekly service I led. He confessed to fornication and drug abuse and wondered if he could ever make peace with Jesus and be freed from these sins. I prayed with him and started meeting with him twice a week to disciple him. He gave his testimony of God’s intervention in his life during the first service this year. I thank God for what He is doing in his life and my prayer, as I continue to meet with him, is that he will grow to become a small group Bible study leader.
Sat 7. Shina – Plateau, Nigeria
Conducted a Bible Training Weekend at the National Veterinary Research Institute. Fifty-one students went through the training. The students shared the gospel with their non-Christian friends. Thank God for 4 students who accepted Jesus Christ as the Lord of their lives during the program. The same program held at Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi with 62 students in attendance resulted in 9 students coming to faith in Christ.
Sun 8. Hellen & Wycliffe – Kenya
Organized a Disciple Making Movement (DMM) training in Tanzania for 30 church planters. These are mainly missionaries leading the 54 house churches that have grown since June 2019. Many of these are Muslim-background believers. They were equipped to engage in effective and rapid multiplication of churches especially in 10 new unreached tribes. Each participant received an audio Bible and Arabic/Swahili New Testament Bible. Thank God for 18 tribes that already have DMM trained missionaries.
Mon 9. Emmanuel – Cameroun
We facilitated the retreat for people from around Yaoundé and in late December, we facilitated a Christmas camp for adolescents and young people. Thank God for the impact of God’s word on the campers.
Tue 10. Kiki – Benin
Organized a recreation day for children at the beach. Sixteen volunteers supervised 109 children who participated in the program. The theme for the day was: Jesus Christ, source of glory. Thank God for some of the children who rededicated their lives to the Lord. Pray also for grace for the four missionaries who have been sent out to help develop the ministry in other parts of the country.
Wed 11. Patrick & Violet – Kenya
We participated in helping 24 missionary trainees acquire cross-cultural communication skills at a missions training school along the coast of Kenya. They are being prepared for ministry among un-reached peoples. Thank God for giving us the opportunity to be part of their preparation for ministry.
Thu 12. Berhanu – Ethiopia
He visited Eritrea to fellowship with and encourage church leaders and schools’ ministry volunteers. He was able to greatly appreciate the persecution that Christians in the country are enduring. Freedom to worship God and proclaiming His word is heavily curtailed. The believers are trying different ministry methods as they seek to impact their society for Christ. Please pray for God’s wisdom, strength, and protection for them.
Fri 13. Morris – Liberia
Conducted rallies in three communities for children and young people. The focus was on the way to avoid abuse and develop positive attitudes towards people. There were over 200 participants. Thank God for 28 people who came to faith in Christ during the quarter.
Sat 14. Ezechias – Rwanda
Organized an evangelistic outreach to a secondary school in Remera Rukoma. Over 300 students were in attendance. He also organized an evangelistic meeting that ministered to 800 teenagers. Apart from sharing the gospel message plainly during the meeting, participants also watched an evangelistic film. Thank God for 30 young people who accepted Jesus as their Savior.
Sun 15. Worldlink USA
Gracious Father, you have provided for Worldlink’s ever-expanding ministry from the first day. Thank you for your constant supply and unchanging faithfulness. As your people become aware of the needs of Indigenous Missionaries and the Worldlink Home Team, please move their hearts to mirror your faithful generosity.
ASIA REGION
Mon 16. Paul Raj – India
Conducted Gospel and Cottage prayer meetings in Chillabungu and four other villages. Of the almost 100 people who heard the messages proclaimed, thank God for a single soul who received the Lord Jesus into his life. Pray for effective follow-up and courage to soon declare his faith publicly through baptism.
Tue 17. Tikhatri – India
Thank God for the harvest of souls into His kingdom as the entire Beng Bahadur family declared their faith in the Lord. The Tikhatri family recently lost their father, Chandra, after a prolonged illness due to kidney failure. Pray that the Holy Spirit may comfort the family and grant them his peace.
Wed 18. Manori – Sri Lanka
Organized a one-day program in Hanthana, a mainly Hindu center. She also organized Christmas programs for Tsunami House kids and the blind women in Kuliyapitiya. Thank God for 130 children who responded and accepted God’s offer of salvation this quarter.
Thu 19. Bishorjit – India
The Ministry team organized different programs such as outreach, Gospel tract distribution, door-to-door witnessing, retreats, and children’s classes. Thank God for His blessings upon the ministry during the last six months. Thank God specifically for new families that have come to faith in the Lord and have joined the fellowship.
Fri 20. Drhuba – Nepal
At the Christmas celebration program organized for children in Lalitpur, about 400 children gathered to hear the story of Christmas and to celebrate the birth of the Savior. The event was full of fun, including singing, dancing, and choreography. Thank God for 148 children who receive the Lord during the quarter.
Sat 21. Marak – India
Thank God for the opportunity to share the gospel with the pupils of the local school. Most of the over 100 children in the school are from Hindu and Muslim backgrounds. Pray that as I continue to relate with the children, many of them will come to faith in our Lord. Pray also for the children in my Sunday school class, about 45 of them.
Sun 22. Arun – India
Conducted several gospel meetings in three villages. Thank God for three people who came to faith in Jesus and are being prepared for baptism. Pray for the church congregation and three house churches he is overseeing. Pray also for healing for his wife.
Mon 23. Anonymous – East Asia
The number of people attending the monthly house church has reduced to six since SG’s in-laws passed away in November. The reduced number notwithstanding, the congregation continues to meet despite the serious pressure and intimidation from the community leader. Pray that the Lord may uphold this little flock. Pray also for plans to plant another house church outside this region. Pray for a more conducive atmosphere for sharing the gospel.
Tue 24. Kannui – India
We conducted open air meetings and house-to-house evangelism in 10 centers during the quarter. About 100 people heard our message. Response has however been slow. Please pray that much fruit will attend our ministry in the two villages. Pray also for provision of a church building. We are currently worshipping in a rented room.
Wed 25. Kiran – India
Thank God for the completion of the Missionary Training Centre where we have begun to equip missionaries and church planters for effective ministry. The inaugural group of 20 students commenced studies in February. Our vision is to send them to the most unreached tribes after their 10 months of training. Pray for wisdom for the students and faculty.
Special Prayer: All of the students can speak English and the curriculum and classes are in English. Since English is not their mother tongue, some are experiencing difficulty with the heavy reading and writing load. Pray that their English proficiency will grow rapidly.
Thu 26. Sanajaobi – India
I continue to minister alongside my husband as he pastors the church and we share the gospel in the neighborhood and beyond. I share God’s word with the children in Sunday School and meet with Christians for prayers every evening. Thank God for drawing Ojit Mutum’s family to Himself and adding them to our number.
Fri 27. Punshi - India
Although physically challenged, God has called me to serve him as an evangelist in my village and in Nambol. We organized 9 Gospel meetings in Sendra, Nambol, Karang, and Thanga Khola. I shared the gospel message at each meeting. Thank God also for grace to minister at the gospel meeting for people with disabilities in Sendra. God spoke clearly to the delegates and 17 of them accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Sat 28. Ningthemba – India
Training session on the Old Testament has impacted all participants and especially the young people in attendance. He started a new fellowship among the Hindu community. Please pray for its growth. He was involved in an accident recently. Thank God for saving his life and for progressive healing of his broken arm.
Sun 29. Hemanshu – India
In the past months, the radicals who killed our missionaries have been planning to attack me. The villagers are giving them information about me. Please pray for God’s intervention and protection. We visited and prayed with Rajkisha when he fell seriously sick. (He is from a strong Hindu background.) God healed him and he started coming to church. Thank God for recently touching his heart during one of our services which led him to repent of his sins and be baptized.
Mon 30. Joypaul – India
A family recently migrated from Koidugen village to our village. God helped me to meet with and develop a friendship with them. By God’s grace, I have shared the gospel message clearly with the family. Please pray that God’s word proclaimed to them may bear fruit in their hearts, so they soon become members of God’s family.
Tue 31. Ramesh – India
Thank God for about 230 people who heard the gospel message during various evangelistic programs he conducted during the quarter. “Persecution has increased. Believers are intimidated by radicals who threaten to throw them out of their village.” Please pray for grace for believers to “be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.”
