AFRICA REGION
Fri 1. Daniel – Plateau, Nigeria
Organized three rallies for secondary school students and a state conference for teens and adults. The programs ministered to about 1,400 people altogether. Thank the Lord for 217 souls won for His kingdom during these activities.
Sat 2. Ezechias – Rwanda
Led a team of volunteers to visit 28 Bible clubs in January and February. About 3,500 students heard the Good News of Jesus during these visits. Thank God also for the opportunity to share the message of hope with refugees from Libya. These are of Somali, Eritrean, and Ethiopian nationality.
Sun 3. Jean-Baptiste – Rwanda
Led the leaders of the ministry throughout the country in a retreat where they prayerfully sought the Lord for His direction for the ministry. Pray that the 46 leaders who participated in the retreat may be fully committed to fulfilling God’s purpose for their local committees.
Mon 4. Angelique – Beni, Congo DR
Conducted a two-week training to equip 48 vulnerable parents (40 women and 8 men) to produce beauty cream, toilet soap, Ndazi and chapati (pastries) so they can support themselves economically. They also had daily meditation throughout the period. Thank God for the opportunity to impact the spiritual and economic lives of all participants.
Tue 5. Zablon – Tanzania
Conducted a very fruitful three-day Sunday school teachers’ training to help participants reach children and teens in and around their churches. Fifty teachers participated in the training. A value-education class was also conducted in five schools. Topics taught included Truth, Forgiveness, Obedience, and Purity. Thank God for 22 children who came to faith in Christ through the program.
Wed 6. Gerard – Congo DR
He conducted a life skills training for teens in Mbandaka and Gemena and leadership development training for committee members and church leaders in Boende. Thank God for the opportunity He gave to impact the lives of about 400 people through the two training programs.
Thu 7. Shaka – The Gambia
Organized a reunion of Bible club members and conducted a talent show for the students to display their various talents of singing, acting, and miming. Thank God also for the marriage seminar organized to help participants learn new ways of keeping the fire in their marriage glowing.
Fri 8. Helene – Beni, Congo DR
She was involved in a two-week training organized for parents of the Bilingual Charity primary school. The children in the ministry’s orphanage attend this school. She is the live-in parent of the orphanage. Thank God that Worldlink has been able to provide supplemental funds for the home particularly during the current COVID-19 lockdown when local support that has sustained the home is considerably reduced.
Sat 9. Neo – South Africa
Visits to Bible clubs started smoothly after the December holidays until the COVID-19 lockdown in March. The students were excited to see the clubs up and running again. Just before the lockdown, he directed the students to download on their phones the Bible stories Games App created by the ministry’s UK arm. Pray that this will keep them gainfully engaged and help them discover and learn more about Jesus.
Sun 10. Sylvain – Congo DR
Thank God for opening doors of ministry to the Military and Police chaplaincies this year. We were at the Protestant Chaplaincy of the Congolese Armed Forces (FARDC) at Camp Badiadingi on February 9 to work with their Sunday School teachers. The week after, we honored an invitation to the Protestant Chaplaincy of the Congolese Armed Forces (FARDC), Camp KOKOLO for the opening of their Bible groups. They have 3 age groups for children, teens, and adults.
Mon 11. Lucas – Tanzania
He organized a training of Value Education Class (VEC) for 25 primary, secondary, and Sunday school teachers. There were six facilitators from Uganda, Canada, UK, and Tanzania. Thank God that following this training, seven schools and five churches have started to teach the lessons. Pray that the children may be drawn to the Lord through this program.
Tue 12. Steven – Yobe, Nigeria
Steven serves in one of the Northwest States in Nigeria which is highly Islamic and functionally under Sharia Law.
Along with local Pastors and ministers, he paid a courtesy and advocacy visit to the paramount ruler of Damaturu, the town from which he operates. They shared the Good News of Christmas with the paramount ruler (a Muslim), prayed for him, and assured him of the Christians’ solidarity as they all together face the challenge of insecurity in the area. Pray for the Lord’s continued intervention in the security situation of the area.
Wed 13. Richard – Congo DR
From March 6 to 9, he led a team of evangelists to Mukedi city to conduct two days of evangelization. Thank God for 8 people who came to faith in the Lord Jesus. Pray for the team of volunteers that was assembled to oversee a new local ministry in the area.
Thu 14. Romain – Congo DR
Organized a retreat for young people. In response to the COVID19 lockdown, he has created a Facebook page which connects all the young people he mentors. He posts on the page daily Bible study text and prayer topics and sends them messages of encouragement. Thank God for four students who were baptized during the quarter and for great improvement in his father’s health. Pray for complete healing.
Fri 15. Patrick - Uganda
Suzan is a member of the Continental School Bible club. I have been visiting and discipling the children in the school for the last 6 years. Suzan has been leading the Bible club for the past 2 years. Our investment into her life has borne fruit as she started taking leadership positions and has now decided to give back some of her time to serve God through the ministry. I bless God for the grace to visit the school every week to mentor the children.
Sat 16. Worldlink USA
Thank God for the outpouring of support for our newly created Critical Needs Emergency Fund. We have been able to provide food and medical support for many who would otherwise have little or none.
ASIA REGION
Sun 17. Somendro – India
The Lord is helping us to design different programs to reach different groups: the elderly, teens, and children. Sometimes, we serve lunch and share the gospel. In these meetings, God has been blessing us and new people are coming to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Recently, two girls, Geetarani and Kritika from Karang Island both accepted Jesus Christ and through them, other members of their families have come to the saving knowledge of Christ. Thank God for His blessings on the ministry.
Mon 18. VedaMuthu – India
We continue to witness in Paravathur and Gudalur villages proclaiming the message of salvation in the streets. Thank God for many who are listening to us and for recent salvation of one family. Please pray for healing for a sister who has been diagnosed with a serious heart problem and another suffering from cancer.
Tue 19. Marindas – India
Early in the New Year, Marindas faced many challenges which shook his faith. The church was attacked by local radicals, his wife and daughter were both seriously ill. All the doors appeared closed, but he thanks God for the assurance that He is ever standing by him. Please support him in your prayers. Pray especially for his daughter that the Lord may raise her from her deathbed.
Wed 20. Peter Paul – India
Thank God for his daughter who went through Bible college and is now ministering alongside him, and for his wife who successfully went through surgery and has now fully recovered. He ministered to about 230 people through the gospel he proclaimed and led 12 people to faith in Christ.
Thu 21. Devi – Bhutan
I continue to visit hospitals, labor camps, construction sites, and different homes to share the gospel with the people. Many of those who heard the message are coming to church now and then, even though they are not yet believers. Please pray for these and all those who are coming regularly that they may all come to faith in Jesus Christ.
Fri 22. Veeresha – India
Thank God for a new Bible study group that started in Attur with six new believers. We meet every Wednesday in a rented apartment. Pray for provision of a place where a shed can be erected as a temporary prayer hall. Please pray for Elavarasan, a young graduate I am mentoring. His desire is to be a missionary in Tamil Nadu.
Sat 23. Jitendra – India
God has given me great burden for Gujarat, my state. Gujarat ranks #1 in persecution. By God’s grace, I was able to share the gospel with Sampath, a Hindu radical in my village. He had persecuted me on several occasions. I sat with him the whole night and testified to my personal experience of God’s love and the importance of redemption. Thank God for touching his life and changing him. Pray for his spiritual growth.
Sun 24. Aasir – India
Thank God for grace to share the gospel message in Kalliyapuram and Ellapai villages mainly through street preaching. Of about 70 people who heard the gospel message during the quarter, thank God for three families that are now coming to church, two people who were baptized and for three others who are now ready for baptism.
Mon 25. Dhan – Bhutan
Our church on the top floor of our newly constructed house is now in use every Sunday. It is a great testimony of God’s providence. Every time we worship there, I feel so grateful to God for this miracle. Please pray for my son who is having a serious problem with one eye. He currently cannot see with it.
Tue 26. Solomon – India
A family graciously opened their front yard for our Sunday evening gospel/prayer meetings. We have now been using this facility for about a year. Thank God for ten people who have been baptized, the fruit of these meetings and for the families of Kasi Nathan and Logash who have recently joined the fellowship.
Wed 27. Simson – India
I have focused attention on three new villages, Alapagunda, Suriya Nagar, and Gopalapuram. About 150 people heard the gospel I proclaimed on the streets during the past quarter. Please pray for God’s blessing on the ministry in these villages. Please pray also for the Lord’s healing as I battle with diabetes.
Thu 28. Selvam – India
Thank God for His blessings upon the ministry in Kandigai. As we faithfully shared the gospel message, some people came forward for prayers and some of these are subsequently added to the church. Three of these respondents have gone through discipleship class and will soon be baptized.
Fri 29. Dhruba – Nepal
He organized two adult Bible training camps, one in Surunga in Jhapa district for 26 people from 14 churches and the other in Kerabari in Morang district for 14 participants. Thank God for impacting the lives of every participant. Many of them reported that they have started having daily personal and family devotions.
Sat 30. Suku & Jessy – India
Conducted a retreat for women in three centers. Seven women came to faith in the Lord. Thank God for these new believers and for seven teens who were baptized following the youth meeting that took place last October.
Sun 31. Yohanu – India
Thank God for answering our prayers and delivering Kalom Rahana from her terrible sickness following which she accepted Christ’s salvation and has joined our church fellowship. Pray that she may grow steadily in her faith and become a witness to others around her.
