AFRICA REGION
Mon 1. Irmiya – Yobe, Nigeria
Organized an Easter Conference (Camp Meeting) in Damaturu with 220 students and volunteers from three states participating. Also led a training session for the student leaders of College of Education, Gashua. Eighteen leaders were in attendance. Thank God for 72 people who came to faith in Christ during these programs and ministries in some Bible clubs. Please pray for God’s provision to drill a borehole in the Mission House.
Tue 2. Morris – Liberia
Thank God for the safe arrival of his first grandson. Morris finds great encouragement in the life of a man to whom he ministered years ago. He reports: “As a young man, J.P. detested the Christian faith. He abused drugs and girls and caused much trouble in the community. He was jailed for raping a girl. During one of our visits to the prison, the Lord touched his life, and he came to faith in Christ. Thank God for his complete turnaround. He is now a pastor and works in the health ministry.”
Wed 3. Angelique – Congo DR
We have started a prayer ministry in the youth prison and are preparing to run a Bible camp there during the holiday. Some young people from our church are assisting us. Thank God for opening the door of ministry in this prison. Pray that the Camp may be a blessing to many inmates and that all may be drawn to faith in the Lord.
Thu 4. Dickens – Uganda
He is bedridden with a paralyzed left arm such that he finds it difficult to write, type, or do much with the arm. The doctors are taking him through some physiotherapy as they study the situation because they have not yet established the cause of the problem. Please pray for God’s intervention and complete healing.
Fri 5. Shaka – The Gambia
Apart from the regular school’s ministry which continued, he organized a picnic for the youth on the May or Labour Day public holiday. Thank God for three of the twenty participants who received the Lord as their personal Savior.
Sat 6. Ezekiel – Plateau, Nigeria
Thank God for the safe arrival of a baby girl into our family. Killings and kidnappings continue to occur regularly in our community. Please pray for God’s safekeeping. We ministered to almost 4,000 students during evangelistic visits to some Bible clubs. Thank God for drawing 648 students to Himself and for 39 others who rededicated their lives to the Lord.
Sun 7. David Vahwere – Congo DR
Sifa who comes from a family of Jehovah's Witnesses followed her fiancé to worship in the church where I volunteer as an assistant pastor. She was initially totally opposed to certain basic doctrinal subjects. With time, the Holy Spirit started to enlighten her. She finally gave her life to Jesus after many discussions. Today, she is the first to defend and explain all the teachings she initially opposed. Thank the Lord for revealing Himself to her.
Mon 8. Leonel & Ana-Maria – Mozambique
Thank God for blessing our family with a baby boy. We thank God because we interceded for some sick people in our community, and He healed them. Please pray for provision of an Android phone.
Tue 9. Bolaji – Plateau, Nigeria
Organized a children’s rally (one-day conference) at a church with 155 youth in attendance. Programs for the day exposed the students to some issues relating to their academic and spiritual lives. Thank God for 45 salvation decisions made.
Wed 10. Lucas – Tanzania
Thank God for granting us favor with the authorities and allowing the Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes to be brought in duty-free. We received about 7,000 shoeboxes, Greatest Gifts books, The Greatest Journey books, teacher’s guides, and visual aids for sharing the gospel. Pray that God may use these materials to draw many children to faith in Him.
Thu 11. David – Congo DR
We partnered with Campus Crusade for Christ and churches in Matadi throughout May to saturate the streets and corners of Matadi with the gospel message and stand up against the religious groups advocating the cults of the ancestors. Of over 2,000 contacts made, about 100 people gave their lives to Christ and are currently being integrated into the churches. We praise the Lord for the success of the program.
Fri 12. Dennis – Uganda
He and his wife are looking forward to the arrival of their first child in November after waiting for seven years. Pray that God will keep the baby healthy and grant safe delivery. Thank God for the two weeks of mission outreach to schools in Eastern Uganda. During the first week, his team ministered to 2,782 students and 1,051 of them experienced the Lord’s salvation.
Sat 13. Stellah – Tanzania
Organized, in partnership with Serve Now, a training seminar to empower Sunday school teachers to fulfill their role as shepherds of children. Many people continue to gather around the audio Bible (Talking Bible) to hear God’s message. One Maasai man who gave his life to Jesus while participating in a Talking Bible group meeting, has himself led six other Maasais to Jesus within a month.
Sun 14. Natasha – South Africa
We have been working in Bonzai and Thyluwazi High Schools mainly using life skills programs as our evangelism tool. We also counseled some students in Bonzai High school and are working with the youth in a church in a deprived area. We thank God for many youth who continue to grow in their faith and some others coming to faith in Christ. Eighty youth responded to our gospel message in the past quarter.
Mon 15. Berhanu – Ethiopia
We recently inaugurated five volunteer groups in Addis Ababa. Effective schools’ ministries depend on the assistance of volunteers and local churches. Pray that members of these groups will fully commit themselves to the discipleship ministry in schools.
Tue 16. Worldlink USA
Because of the growth of our ministry and the growth of the opportunities we have to reach unreached people around the world, we have added several new team members to our US Home Team and a Regional Coordinator for the Americas Region. Pray for Maddie, Emily, and Omar as they translate their passion for the Lord and the lost into effective ministry empowering indigenous missionaries.
ASIA REGION
Wed 17. Eliaha – India
He usually distributes tracts in the villages he visits. About 50 people received the tracts and thank God for Bhaskar Rao and his wife who received Jesus Christ as their Savior. They are being prepared for baptism. This couple, Tirupathi and his wife, all from Hindu backgrounds, are now regular attendees of our church services. Pray that they all may be grounded in their faith.
Thu 18. Mamak – India
I freely witnessed for Christ in the past three months because there was no disturbance. I shared the gospel with 25 people who have never heard it before. None of them have responded to the message so pray that the seeds sown in their hearts may bear fruit soon. Thank God for the steady growth of two new converts we continue to disciple.
Fri 19. Manori – Sri Lanka
We are keeping well by God’s grace despite the many economic and political problems facing our country. We organized a special program for ladies in a YMCA hostel and ministered to various categories of children in Bible clubs both on site and online. We also organized a special program for disabled children and thank the Lord for blessing us with 15 new believers. Please pray for peace in our country and solution to our multi-faceted problems.
Sat 20. Bireu - India
The Lord blessed our ministry in the past three months richly with 25 of the 85 people who listened to our message turning to the Lord in faith. Twelve of them have already been baptized while the others are being prepared for baptism. We thank the Lord for His abundant blessings.
Sun 21. Mises – India
Using a mobile microphone, I proclaim the gospel message in the streets of my village each morning. At least 100 people heard the message. Thank God for Kishore, a drunkard, who accepted the Lord as his Savior. Pray that the Lord may establish him in the faith. Thank God also for a new church plant and pray for its steady growth.
Mon 22. Jeevakuraman - Sri Lanka
We conducted a children’s ministry in a church recently. The pastor of the church later testified that four families have joined the church in response to our ministry. One of the families had deserted the church for three years due to family conflicts. We thank the Lord for His blessings.
Tue 23. Biswas – India
God has opened the door of ministry in six new villages. The people in these villages were superstitious and anti-religious. After visiting the villages many times and sharing the gospel message, some of them started visiting to share their problems with us. Thank God for more than 150 people who listened to our message and the establishment of a house church in each of the villages.
Wed 24. Puja – India
We organized an evangelistic program which ministered to about 200 people. The program led to the baptism of five people and inauguration of two churches with 40 regular worshippers. Please pray for the establishment of two more churches to cover the four villages we currently focus on.
Thu 25. Anonymous – East Asia
During my visits to K.D. village, I check people’s health and help them. This helps them open up and accept our presence in their midst. During such medical visits recently, a lady invited me to attend to A.A., a 70-old man who practices shamanism. He was skinny being unable to eat. He had high body temperature and low blood pressure. After treating him, I shared the Gospel with him and his household. A.A. prayed to have Jesus in his life. Thank God for this and pray that other leaders in the village may truly repent and testify about Christ.
Fri 26. Kalpana – India
I minister mainly to children. Thank God for giving me the opportunity to influence their lives and guide them to choose the right way to live. It is a joy to see them make progress in various areas of their lives.
Sat 27. Sanjeeva – India
Thank God for opening the door for my daughter to study medicine. Pray for wisdom and success. I shared the gospel message with Jagadesh, one of my friends. Thank God for opening his heart to receive the message. Pray for his steady growth in his faith. Thank God for two new church plants.
Sun 28. Arjun – Nepal
I Journey to Dhulikhel every other Saturday to proclaim the gospel of Christ and follow-up with new believers. I also teach Sunday School children afterwards. Pray for abundant fruit to continue to accompany these ministries. Thank God for healing my son, Ananta, from Typhoid fever and Kainli from depression.
Mon 29. Sumithra – India
We organized a healing service in a village to which 289 people came. They all listened attentively to the message we proclaimed. A few days after the service, a woman came to us to testify that she is recovering from cancer. We thank God for His intervention in her situation and pray for her complete healing.
Tue 30. Missionary Training Institute (MTI) – India
MTIs are week-long missionary training times held in various locations for missionaries who cannot leave their ministry field for prolonged residential training. Thank God for those currently going through training in the Institute. We spend 12 hours each day learning God’s Word and, in the evenings, we go out to show the Jesus Film and share the gospel message. We are reaching out to 23 villages. Pray that God will use this training to equip the missionaries to effectively reach the unreached. Pray also for God’s protection as they minister in these villages.
Wed 31. Dhruba – Nepal
Organized a Vacation Bible School (VBS) children's program in Surkhet (580 km west from Kathmandu). A total of 115 children participated in the program and 30 volunteer teachers helped the children meditate on the Word of God. Thank God for the impact of God’s Word on the children.
