April 2022 Prayerlink

Fri 1. Naomi – Zambia

Naomi led a mission trip to Katete, Eastern Province of Zambia in November. The team visited, preached, and prayed for people in twenty-five villages. The mighty hand of God was at work in the lives of the people who came to openly testify to the Lord’s deliverance from the chains of the enemy that has bound them for many years. About 3,000 people heard the gospel message and 100 were saved. New churches were planted in some of the villages.

Sat 2. Godwithus – Plateau, Nigeria

Facilitated a Primary School (Grades 1-6) one-day rally with 112 pupils in attendance. Activities included Life-skills, Bible Study, Academic Seminar, Games, and Film show. Thank God for 70 of them who received the Lord as their Savior. Two other students came to faith in Christ when he visited two schools and ministered to about 600 students.

Sun 3. Sali & Delphine – Cameroon

We recently received this message from Sali, “God has laid it in my heart to enter Fulani camp in Lande Gore village this week to share the gospel message there. Pray for God’s grace to accompany me and pray for successful ministry there.” This was taking the fight to the stronghold of the enemy. Many Christians are being massacred daily by the Fulani herdsmen. Thank God that Sali went and came back safely. One Fulani gave his life to Christ and is already seeking baptism. His final resolve, “I must preach the gospel to the last drop of my blood. The reason for my staying alive is to preach the gospel.”

Mon 4. Victor & Rahab – Cote d’Ivoire

Conducted discipleship training for a dozen people, gave a training on the challenges of unreached peoples to about sixty evangelists and mission leaders to help them as they plan the mission activities of their church. He also spoke in a church about the needs of the unreached in their neighborhood and taught on evangelization and mission to about thirty church planters and missionaries. Pray that all these trainings will raise awareness about unreached people that will result in action.

Tue 5. Albino – Yobe, Nigeria

I organized a mission awareness talk to 29 First Year polytechnic school students. I love the scenario! We met under a tree and had only three benches. The students were so excited about the challenge. Many of them promised to do mission work after their graduation. Thank God for helping us fulfill the purpose of the awareness; to expose the students to mission opportunities and platforms for ministry after graduation.

Wed 6. Hellen & Wycliffe – Kenya

Titus from Tanzania received discipleship training with an open heart. We gave him two audio Bibles. He went back to his farm in Tanga and immediately started to zealously share his faith among the Segeju and Digo Muslim friends. To his amazement, many responded and accepted Jesus as Lord after listening to the way of salvation and the gospel of John. He started two house churches, one in his house and the other in his cassava plantation village. The churches grew and members started to share their faith despite numerous persecutions from their families and friends. Titus currently runs six house churches. His goal is to see 20 churches planted in the next few years. Thank God for his zeal and pray for more blessings on his ministry.

Thu 7. Timothy & Rufina – Kenya

Thank God for more men who are coming to Christ, an answer to our prayers for the salvation of men from the Ilchamus tribe. Six men came to faith in Christ during the quarter, three of them during the marriage seminar we organized. The church is growing numerically and spiritually. The discovery Bible studies have enabled members to gain more understanding of the scriptures.

Fri 8. Cyprian – Sokoto, Nigeria

Thank God for saving him from death. Cyprian was in and out of the hospital for two months, had two major surgeries, and was in the ICU twice. Thank God for His intervention and for miraculously providing funds to pay for all the hospital bills. Since returning to the field, he has ministered in four churches, visited four schools and the Police Training Institution, ministered to almost 1,000 participants in three group Bible study trainings, and conducted two retreats for 19 people. Thank God for renewed strength and grace to minister to almost 2,500 people with 84 people declaring their faith in the Lord Jesus.

Sat 9. Johnkessly – Kaduna, Nigeria

Samuel, from a wealthy home with Christian parents, was lured into a campus cult, ‘Aye Fraternity,’ by a girl he wanted to befriend. To accept him as her boyfriend, he had to join the cult. He became notorious on the campuses. He and other cult members ran afoul of the law, were arrested, and kept in police custody for three weeks before some top politicians intervened. His detention experience prompted him to start rethinking his life. He was invited to a conference last December where he heard the gospel message anew. He repented of his sins and turned his life over to the Lord. Thank God for rescuing him from perdition and pray that God may draw other members of campus cults to Himself.

Sun 10. Hannah & Philip – Ghana

We met Ndenyi seated under the mango tree where we parked our vehicle. After hearing the gospel message, he thanked us and said he had come away to be alone and contemplate about how to forsake the way of his ancestors (idol worship and Islam). He thanked God for sending His saints to bring the answer to his struggle. He readily gave his life to Christ and asked us for a new name as he was not too comfortable with his name, Ndenyi, which means “Had I known?” We encouraged him to share the news with his wife to which he said it was not a problem. His wife will certainly follow him to Jesus! Please pray for Ndenyi (now Zaccheus) for courage to forsake his idols and all idolatrous practices and follow Jesus wholly!

Mon 11. Emmanuel – Borno, Nigeria

Thank God for his intervention in ES’s life. A SSS 3 (Grade 12) student, she decided to follow Christ during our Zonal Conference in Maiduguri in July. Following the abuse she has suffered, mainly from her mother, she almost committed suicide. She was born with HIV and does not know her father. Worse still, her mother keeps insulting her on these same issues. Thank God for His intervention in her life and for steady growth in her faith. Please pray for God’s keeping and especially for success in her forthcoming final examinations.

Tue 12. Sibongele – South Africa

Thank God for the Leadership Training Camp for higher institutions we organized in Gauteng Province in December. It was the first in-person program since Covid started. The training was aimed at equipping and building the capacity of new branch leaders. Fifty student leaders from five institutions participated in the training. Pray that each trainee may be more effective as they serve their groups.

Fri 15. Dhan – Bhutan

Covid lockdown restricted travels outside our town. However, many who lost their jobs due to Covid have come back home and we have been meeting with them, giving them the help they need and sharing the gospel with them. Pray that God may open their hearts to receive our message. Pray also for my daughter who, due to some challenges in the school, has had to discontinue her studies. She is at home and studying.

Sat 16. EIM – India

In the past year, 897 villages in 127 unreached people groups received the Good News of Jesus through our indigenous missionary partners. We baptized 197 people, and 1300 Bibles were distributed. Many recipients of the Bibles have never heard the name of Jesus. Despite serious persecutions including martyrdom, the gospel message continues to be proclaimed. Praise the Lord.

Sun 17. Worldlink USA

He is risen, He is risen indeed! Happy Resurrection Sunday to you, our Prayer Warriors, and your families. As we celebrate and reflect upon the empty tomb today, we praise God for our new Brothers and Sisters in Christ that are celebrating this joyous holiday for the first time as Believers.

Mon 18. Gracewell – India

Ministry in Singlimari is quite challenging. Many people are not ready to listen to our message. About 32 people however listened to us in the past months and we thank the Lord for six of them who believed in our Lord and are now ready to be baptized. Pray for grace to soldier on and never be discouraged.

Tue 19. Paulson – India

Covid restrictions limited our ministry in the past year. We only managed some weekend gatherings. In December however, we had a wonderful time of preaching the gospel and singing about Christ’s birth in the streets of our villages. Thank God for many people who paid attention. We had a blessed time. Please continue to pray for provision of a place for our church building. We currently gather in my home for worship, but it’s very inadequate.

Wed 20. Isaac – Bhutan

The pandemic hit us hard. We have had to stop all our activities and stay at home. Online is too expensive and so we were meeting in small groups whenever restrictions were relaxed. Our country is small, so we had to be very cautious. Our area is a tourist place and now that tourists are not coming, there is no work here. Many have therefore gone back to their villages. Amid all that has happened, the Lord has sustained us. We praise Him for that.

Thu 21. Solman – India

Thank God for about 80 people who listened to the gospel message we proclaimed in the four villages in which we currently minister. The Lord rewarded our hard labor with two new believers. Four others were also baptized. Please pray for provision of land for our church building.

Fri 22. Anonymous – East Asia

Praise the Lord that we were able to share the Gospel with 901 people from different regions. Out of those who heard our message, 20 came to faith in Jesus Christ. Five of them were baptized during the year, three of these are from the DY tribe, the focus of our ministry.

Sat 23. Church Plant Center – Cambodia

Samnang (Lucky) was suffering from serious mental illness and was a big problem in the village. His family had hired “witch doctors,” used traditional medicine, and taken him to a hospital in the capital city of Phnom Penh for treatment, but nothing helped him. However, as Pastor Samneang told the man about Jesus and began to minister to him, he suddenly had a major change in his mental status. Samnang accepted Christ and began to function normally in the village. His family was astonished. His grandmother decided to follow Christ and other family members followed her. The family was the nucleus of a church plant in the village. Thank God for building His church in a miraculous way.

Sun 24. Krishna – India

I was able to visit only three villages due to Covid restrictions. The Lord blessed our ministry in these villages with 30 new believers. We have baptized four of the new converts and are now running two house churches. Many of the men in these villages are prone to alcoholism and gambling. Thank God for the changes that are taking place in many lives after we started prayer meetings there.

Mon 25. Mani – India

Following our sharing during visits to some Hindu families, we have baptized and received four new members into our church. Thank God for these new believers. Badhru, one of our church members, recently died of Covid. Pray for God’s comfort for the family and church members. Pray also that God’s Spirit will open doors of ministry in Reddygudem, a new village we are targeting.

Tue 26. Phally – Cambodia

Shared the gospel message using health talks during visits to some houses. Sixty-nine people listened to the message. Thank God for one person who came to faith in Christ. About 50 of the listeners were hearing the salvation message for the first time. Pray that God’s Spirit may expound it to them and draw them into His kingdom.

Wed 27. Venkataramana – India

I continue to share the gospel message in five villages. I thank God for encouraging me by pouring his abundant blessings on our ministry there. We baptized eight people in the past months. I had been praying for the salvation of four of them. My heart rejoiced as each of them stepped into the river to be baptized.

Thu 28. Hemchand – India

He and his team ministered to about 500 people in Karang Island, Sendra, and Nambo. Thank God for nine people who came to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for Jameson a teen from Karang Island, and Naoba from Bishnupur whose lives were touched by God’s Spirit and who have decided to become missionaries too. They started their training in Dimapur in February.

Fri 29. Surjo – India

Of about 70 people with whom we shared the gospel, thank God for three of them who received the Lord and obeyed Him in baptism. Some others are seriously seeking having shown interests in the things of God. Pray for them. Pray for Kakwa and Laipham Konjil, two places where we are likely to have churches as we have few saved souls there and there is great interest in the gospel.

Sat 30. Bishwajith – India

We are ministering in six villages. God has opened the door of effective ministry particularly in three of them. We have had a peaceful and friendly welcome and in the past months. Fourteen people have come to faith in Christ in these villages and were baptized. Thank God for this and pray for God’s intervention in the other three villages.
