February 2023 Prayerlink

AFRICA REGION

Wed 1. Matano & Juddie – Kenya

I thought I was the only convert among my close family members. However, it was during the funeral of a relative, where I courageously shared God’s word, that I came to find out that there are more than 20 other Christians in our family. They didn’t speak up because they feared persecution. There were elders, who were strong traditionalists and even practiced witchcraft, as well as Sikhs who are now followers of Christ. Thank God for such surprises. Please pray for wisdom as I seek to bring them together to create a strong force for God in our family.

Thu 2. Hanna & Philip – Ghana

Mama Asana, one of the first believers in Kidenge, gave her life to Jesus during our house-to-house evangelistic outreach in February 2020. She has remained consistent in her faith and commitment to Christ ever since. She took initiative, to use the audio Bible on a farm to minister the Gospel to a group of women as they harvested groundnuts. Please pray that her effort may bear immense fruit for the kingdom of God. Pray also for her husband. Though a Muslim, he permitted us to hold our evangelistic meetings in front of their house.

Fri 3. Worldlink USA

Pray today as the US Board meets; for God to be glorified as we praise Him for who He is and what He has done, seek Him for wisdom as we respond to opportunities, and ask Him for His strength to pursue with passion the path He has laid before us. Pray as we add almost 300 indigenous missionary partners to our teams over the next 4 months.

Sat 4. John & Ruphina – Kenya

Shared the Gospel message one-on-one both on the street and during home visits. There was only one new believer. They testified his conversion took place after a little boy shared the Gospel with him. The boy has been challenging him to stop drinking and come to church. After the child pestered him many times, the man decided to come to church. He is now a changed man and has stopped drinking. Thank God for his intervention in his life and for the spiritual growth of church members in their understanding of the Scriptures and their commitment.

Sun 5. Morrison – Sokoto, Nigeria

Focused on training during the last quarter. He conducted Leadership training, discipleship training, and inductive and evangelistic Bible study pieces of training. He ministered to about 500 students during this training. Thank God for bringing 14 of them to faith in Christ Jesus. Please pray for Segun as he disciples others, and that he may grow deeper in his faith and learn to serve the Lord.

Mon 6. Barnabas – Zambia

Co-facilitated the Africa Enterprise Lusaka for Jesus Outreach. He coordinated a team of evangelists and over 40 people gave their lives to Christ in the area covered by his team. Some of them have since joined local churches and the team members continue to follow them up.

Tue 7. Eugenio & Victorina – Mozambique

We continue to soak our ministry area in prayer, conduct evangelistic outreaches, and carry out research in new fields. Thank God for opening the door of ministry into new villages and for the 11 people who came to faith in Christ Jesus during the last quarter. Pray that the Lord may free people in our field from the imprisonment of the evil one and carnality.

Wed 8. Fredrick & Emily – Kenya

Our challenge in ministry is that Emily still lacks an intervention program for young women and girls. She has many friends who are idle with nothing to do. They would like to have a salon where they can meet and reach out to more girls and young women. Pray for God’s provision. We have created a soccer team through which we hope to reach out to young people. Pray that this may become an effective tool for evangelism.

Thu 9. Narcisse & Vicky – Cameroun

Bayan was one of the 25 people who received Christ’s salvation during the quarter. She was born into a family that practices magic and divination. Due to her loose sexual lifestyle, she had a baby in her teenage years. She was destined to be the witchcraft priestess of her family, but she turned to the Lord and was delivered from the powers of witchcraft and divination. Thank God for his intervention in her life and pray that she may be an effective witness in her family.

Fri 10. Joshua & Esther – Kenya

The drug addiction problem has not spared anybody in this society. Be they young or old, single or married, all have been taken captive. Their society has lost its sense of direction. I recently visited a family in which parents and children are all victims of drug addiction. The father gave his wife money for shopping, but she spent it on drugs. A sharp argument ensued which needed my intervention. They saw a reason to abandon drugs and turn to the Lord. They are struggling, but all things are possible with God. Pray for their total deliverance and wisdom as I continue to minister to them.

Sat 11. Hellen & Wycliffe – Kenya/Ethiopia

Conducted mission training at Catholic University in Mwanza Tanzania and then led their leaders on a mission exposure outreach among the Muslim tribes in Tanga, Tanzania. Another team of medical students also went on a mission exposure trip to Zanzibar Island sharing the gospel message among the Kunduchi, Swahili, Tumbatu, and Arab tribes. Thank God for about 300 people who heard the gospel message during these and other programs and 17 people who came to faith in the savior.

Thank God for the continued opportunity to share the word of God at morning devotions in schools. I read the bible to the children and pray for them before they start their classes. I also ran a camp for teenagers. Participants were from different churches, and some do not go to church. Altogether, we ministered to almost 4,000 children and youths and 768 of them came to faith in Christ. We praise the Lord for such immense blessings.

Tue 14. Richard – Congo DR

Lumiere, 19 years old, a single mother and a pastor’s daughter, was very active in the camp. In our discussion with her, however, we found she had yet to have Christ in her life. So, we challenged her to receive God’s salvation, but she flatly refused. We decided not to push but pray earnestly for her. Two days later when we repeated our invitation, she yielded her life to the Lord and now gladly participates in our prayer and Bible study meetings. Thank God for his intervention in her life.

Wed 15. Gerard – Congo DR

In partnership with the Grace Church, we trained 170 youth leaders to equip them for effective ministry in line with 2 Timothy 2:2. Thank God for many participants who decided to serve the Lord more faithfully and fervently mentor other sisters and brothers.

Thu 16. Elijah – Kebbi, Nigeria

Organized Life Outreach code-named Project 10.10, an annual one-week program designed to share the gospel with the students living on and off the campuses. On the first and third days, students gathered, prayed, and went in groups to engage in tract distribution, one-on-one evangelism, and community service. Thank God for 5 new believers and 15 others who rededicated their lives to the Lord.

Thank God for the gift of many latest and quality books for the library. Trainees now readily refer to these books to assist them to do some in-depth study on missions. Sun 19. Abhishek - Pakistan

Malli who has been involved in playing cards, betting, cock fighting, and irresponsible behavior toward his family for over 20 years, had a bad case of Covid. The Church decided to actively pray for him and his family. The Lord healed him. He received the Lord’s offer of salvation and was baptized. We praise the Lord for the changes in his life.

A lady who was struggling with her three children was referred to me for my intervention. I counseled, encouraged, and also urged her to read the bible and pray daily. She started to do that, and the Lord resolved her family problem. Praise the Lord.

Tue 21. Elizabeth – India

Bukhari Ramana was on her deathbed. I went with other missionaries and cried unto God for her life. God miraculously touched her and healed her. She was made whole. Now a door of salvation is being opened in that village. I give God all the glory for giving me this great opportunity to continue to reach the villages.

Pray that the Good News they heard may bring deliverance of their spirit, body, and soul.
