AFRICA REGION

Sun 1. Worldlink USA

It is the first day of a new year and a reminder of the new mercies of God and the new story he invites people into as they come to faith in Jesus. In this month’s Prayerlink we rejoice to see 1,537 people respond to God’s offer of new life. Praise God for the new life we have and the new opportunity to share the Gospel with those who live in darkness and hopelessness.

Mon 2. Cyprian – Sokoto, Nigeria

He inaugurated three new Bible Clubs with an initial total membership of 181 pupils. He also organized a conference for students in the state. We thank God for a total of 517 children and youths who came to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ during the quarter.

Tue 3. Dennis & Janet – Kenya

Ms. A gave her life to Christ, but her husband was not accepting of her commitment. He became very furious and would not allow his wife to be part of the church fellowship. Recently, they had a serious problem that caused the wife to give up on the marriage. I was invited to help reconcile them. The Lord helped us to resolve their problem. After our meeting, the man decided to accept Christ Jesus into his life. He and his wife are now very active church members. Thank God for his intervention in this couple’s life.

Wed 4. Emmanuel – Plateau, Nigeria

“I have enjoyed God's grace in my life since my secondary school days when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Since then, he has been helping me to remain faithful to him.”  Elder Okewu’s testimony of the impact of Emmanuel’s ministry on his life. Thank God for continuing to impact the lives of many young people today through student ministry. Emmanuel ministered to 5,720 students in the past quarter.

Thu 5. Dodzi & Prisca – Togo

We continue to carry out evangelistic and discipleship programs in Djeti. We organised a three-day spiritual awakening program to celebrate the third anniversary of the church in Igboamou. One of the new believers in Djeti is the wife of the chief of the village. She had problem with her foot that made it difficult for her to walk. After giving her life to Christ, the Lord healed her miraculously. She now walks briskly to church to participate in our activities. We thank the Lord for his intervention.

Fri 6. Sebastien & Pauline – Cote d’Ivoire

The discipleship training in Bouaké and Beoumi continues. We conducted a second session of training for lay leaders of churches in Bouaké to inspire them for mission. Thank God for many who have regained their zeal for mission following these trainings. Pray for the success of the Mission Mobilization and Awareness Conference scheduled for February 2023.

Sat 7. Jacob – Nigeria

Anthony is one of the youths who sells marijuana and other related drugs in our area. After accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, I counselled him to think of another business in which he can engage. Kindly pray for God’s direction for him. Drug abuse is rampant among the youth here. Pray also for deliverance from the attacks of violent Islamic Fulani herdsmen. The insecurity in our area forced us to postpone the crusade we planned for the previous quarter.

Sun 8. Sibongele – South Africa

During a recent visit to the campus group at the University of Technology, Pretoria, Musa testified how members of the group were constantly sharing the Gospel message with fellow students. They pitched a tent every Wednesday during lunch, invited students in and shared Christ with them. It was during one of these encounters that he received Christ as his Savior. His life changed completely. He also was grateful to God for the impact of the group’s regular Bible study on his spiritual growth. Thank God for the abundant fruit of student discipleship. In the past quarter, her team ministered to over 10,000 students and welcomed 487 of them into God’s family. Glory be to God.

Mon 9. Samuel & Maureen – Kenya

Maureen shares the Good News of God’s Kingdom while she equips women and young girls who have dropped out of school with seamstress skills to enable them to earn a living. She also interacts with both men and children who seek her service. Thank God also for the open door of ministry among children attending our school and their parents.

Tue 10. Johnkessly – Kaduna, Nigeria

A young girl, who was about 19 years old, was introduced to sex and drugs by her boyfriend. They had been together for 4 years during which she had two abortions. During our relationship seminar, she surrendered to Christ and accepted him into her life. She immediately terminated the relationship with her boyfriend and has experienced steady growth through discipleship. Thank God for his word that continues to deliver many from the shackles of sin and the devil.

Wed 11. Josiane & God’s power – Mali

We continue to build friendship with our target group and share the love of God with many of them. We also assisted in a fellow missionary’s seminar, as well as taught the children in a Bible Club and young ladies. Thank God for the joy of reconciling a couple’s volatile relationship and restoring a brother who had stopped going to church to fellowship.

I am teaching a literacy class as a means of reaching out to the students. I also organised a retreat for the children of the same neighbourhood. Thank God for 12 children who came to faith in Christ.

Fri 13. Sola – Benue, Nigeria

We organised a one-day conference in 14 centers throughout the state. We ministered to 2,902 secondary school children during the conferences. Thank God for 448 students who came to faith in Christ and 28 others who rededicated their lives to him.

Sat 14. George & Christelle – Cameroun

Went on a missionary trip to Yaoundé to build the capacity of the cell group there. Thank God for three new souls that were won into God’s Kingdom and two couples that were reconciled. We are partnering with the Evangelical Church of Cameroun to plant a church in one of the villages. Pray that our effort there will bear fruit soon.

Sun 15. Kepran & Marie – Mali

Thank God for Marie’s safe delivery of a baby boy. We conducted door-to-door evangelism and used the Discovery Bible study method to help people understand the Gospel message. We thank God for the 13 people who came to faith in Christ. Pray that they may be firmly rooted in their faith as we disciple them.

Mon 16. Albino – Taraba, Nigeria

He focussed on leadership development during this past quarter. He organised a training program e for each three post-secondary school groups. There were 56 participants altogether. Pray that the trainings they received may enhance their ministry among their peers.

ASIA REGION

Tue 17. Matthews – India

The father of 18-month-old boy had beaten and burnt his mother leading to her death. Consequently, the man was imprisoned. So, the boy was brought to us. For six months prior to that, he was without any proper care. He is severely malnourished. Pray for him and pray that his father may come to repentance. Pray also for the success of my ministry trip across the border to Bhutan. Travelling inside the country has become expensive. Pray that God will supply all we need for the trip.

Wed 18. Timothy – Sri Lanka

We run a monthly Zoom Special Gathering for Kids on the island. It is always is a great opportunity to share the Gospel with the kids. We had an enjoyable time of praise and worship, story time, Bible meditation, and making arts and crafts. More than 50 children participate in the program every month. Pray that God will continue to minister to the kids through this program.

Thu 19. Babulai – India

In addition to Vishnu-Nagar village, we started ministry in Bishnupur and Gopinathpur. God is helping us as we reach out to the people of these villages. We have three new worshippers in Bishnupur and are preparing a few people for water baptism. Please pray for protection from the radicals who continue to persecute Christians. Pray for their conversion.

Fri 20. Chaitanya – India

Thank God for new house churches started in Maljamuna and Bamonda and for rescuing many in our focus villages from alcoholism and witchcraft. I shared the Gospel with 60 people during the quarter and we grateful to God for three people, Silo, Gopal and Noren who are ready for baptism.

Sat 21. Simon – Bhutan

We had a problem with our neighbours who threatened to block the road leading to our house and the church. Thank God for his intervention. Now we can move freely. Ten people accepted the Lord as their Savior but they haven’t yet turned from their old ways. I continue to visit and encourage them. Please pray for their total commitment to the Lord and fellowship with other believers.

Sun 22. Kalipada – India

We continue to minister in four villages where about 120 people listened to our message in the past quarter. We also distributed Gospel tracts and Audio Bibles. Three people responded to our message and are now ready to declare their faith publicly through baptism. Thank God also for 13 new people in Bhavan who now worship the Lord with us. They were all formally from a Hindu background.

Mon 23. Rabindra – India

Persecution is hitting hard now. At the same time the Lord is bringing more people to faith through the preaching of the Word. We have five new believers who will be baptized soon. Thank God for them and pray that we all may remain faithful to the Lord despite the persecutions we continue to face.

Tue 24. Jeevakuraman – Sri Lanka

We ministered to 55 teens and children in a Colombo suburb, shared God's love with them by providing fellowship, meals, and gifts. These children's parents are mostly laborers who live day to day off of their daily earnings and most of them are addicted to alcohol and drugs. Please pray that our ministry to their children may have ripple effect on the parents too.

Wed 25. Uttam - India

For many years, I have been praying for the salvation of my mother. I thank God for touching her heart. She was recently baptized and is now very helpful in the work of the Lord. Thank God also for healing a young man who was suffering from epilepsy. The family are idol worshippers. I shared the Gospel message with them. His mother accepted the Lord, and our Lord healed the young man. We are trusting the Lord for the salvation of other family members.

Thu 26. Rabindranath – India

Thank God for the commitment of the whole team to reaching out to the unreached. Recently, the Lord granted me the unique opportunity of baptizing nine people amid much suffering and persecution. They are all from idol worshipping backgrounds and without peace or hope. They have all experienced definite change in their lives. Pray that they may remain faithful and become witnesses to their family members.

Fri 27. Anonymous – East Asia

We thank God for grace to go on evangelistic outreach every day. We were able to reach 123 people with the Gospel message. Although many people are willing to listen to our message, when challenged to believe in Jesus, they refused. They refuse any additional follow-up. Despite this, we praise the Lord for one person who accepted the Lord as his Savior. We are currently discipling him.

Sat 28. Subendu – India

Both the Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector of Datan Police station recently resumed office. God gave me the courage to meet with them and tell them about Jesus. The Lord touched their hearts, and they are both coming to church. God is helping us to reach out to the police during this time of persecution. Praise the Lord for his enabling grace to stand strong in our faith and Christian witness.

Sun 29. Arjun – Nepal

I thank the Lord for giving me the opportunity to see some fruit from my ministry. There are two people who came to faith in Christ who are steadily growing. Please pray for my visit to an inmate in the prison and some families in Nagarkot. Pray for prompt response to the Gospel message that I will be sharing with them.

Mon 30. Subrata – India

I thank God for giving me a godly wife to partner with me in his service. Thank God for our wedding. Pray that we may continue to fulfil God’s purpose for our family. The place of worship in Suva Nagar is far. When it rains, people are not able to come to church. Local radicals worsened the situation by digging up the road, making it impassable. The Lord answered our prayer for the road to be reconstructed. Now, we can gather to worship though we gather in the open air. Pray for provision of a church building.

Tue 31. Amber – Bhutan

My sons migrated to Trongsa and through them I have been able to start a fellowship in that place. Although we have many restrictions, about 10 families now gather in my son’s house every Sunday to worship the Lord. Pray that this new church plant may grow steadily and bring God glory.
