I thank God for enabling us to build a new Church made of bamboo. We had to leave the rented space we had used for six years. Every believer contributed from their little. A ministry donated the roofing sheets while the people provided free labour. Finally, we have a lovely church room. Bamboo cannot normally withstand heavy rain for long so we hope this structure will last two years before the bamboo starts to crumble. Please pray for God’s provision so we can erect a concrete building.

The lady had truly lived a messy life: married to a Muslim man at 16, left him and married another man whom she again left to move in with another man. The last man dumped her after impregnating her. When we met, she could not hide her mess to us. The Lord is picking up the pieces and helping her feel His peace in her heart having accepted Christ as her personal Savior and Lord. Please pray for effective follow-up to equip her to pull through and be re-established.

Thank God for the growth of my discipleship class from seven young ladies to fourteen. We meet every week for joint Bible study as well as interacting on a daily basis. A female student who had once committed her life to Christ had gone back to her old ways of life and started misbehaving morally. After much follow-up, counseling and prayers, she gradually made her way back to Christ. Now she is a happy girl with assurance of salvation. Pray that the Lord may sustain her faith.

Thank God for drawing Tatenda, a final-year college student to faith. He has never had the desire to be involved in Christian Union until I caught up with him during a Walk-Up Evangelism event. At first, he seemed absolutely unwilling to give time to listen to me. After a long conversation on his challenging social life however, he got interested in listening. He finally gave his life to Christ after our third meeting. Tatenda has now started coming to the Christian Union services and has accepted that we meet for regular Bible Study. Kindly pray for him that his faith may be strengthened, and he may become an instrument, like Saul, in God’s hand.

Imam A’s brother was in our school in Adhama when Garissa University students were attacked, and some brothers and sisters were killed. Imam A thought we Christian teachers would meet vengeance on their children! When he came to spy on the school the following morning and found we were in class teaching as normal, he was dumbfounded and requested an audio Bible. He has been listening to it and asking questions. Last month he gave his life to Christ and has testified to the great peace he now enjoys. His only worry is his wife who comes from a staunch Islamic family. He is now going through discipleship classes. Thank God for Imam A’s salvation. Pray that God may reveal Himself to his wife and other family members.
