Dear Friends,
Noor sat with her head down low and her heart down lower near the drab mud wall of her Pakistani school. Moved by the Holy Spirit, Kiran, a Worldlink partner bringing the hope of Christ in this restricted country, approached her. She quietly asked about her obvious burden.
Noor felt she was not smart which brought her parent’s wrath. She felt she was not popular which brought her peer’s ridicule. And she felt she was not acceptable to the harsh God of her culture which brought her own hopelessness.
It was a divine appointment. Kiran shared with Noor about “the unconditional love of Jesus. The one who loves us even when our grades are low.” On that bench, in the dusty heat, Noor’s hopelessness found hope. Kiran reported, “She embraced the Lord Jesus and her life has since turned around.” For now, Noor will keep her faith quiet on earth. But, at the very moment her faith began, there was a loud party in heaven in her honor.
If you’ve prayed or given to Worldlink, you have my deepest thanks for helping make miracles like this happen 56,908 times this year. Would you help us as we seek to empower another 100 indigenous missionaries like Kiran to reach hurting people for Christ in Pakistan and 35 other countries during our 2018-19 Ministry Year which starts on July 1st?
Our goal is to raise $100,000 in June. To help, a few generous donors have offered to double your special June gift up to $30,000.
In the last year, Worldlink partners have shared the message Noor heard with 814,734 people. And 56,908 hurting people like Noor responded to Jesus’ love by professing new faith in Christ.
Every hopeless person in every country deserves access to the Gospel of hope!
Right now, we have a great opportunity because:
- We have over 100 indigenous missionaries preparing to launch this year, but awaiting funding
- We have a matching challenge that will double your gift given in June
- Persecution and restrictions are on the rise in countries containing the greatest concentration of unreached people, but indigenous missionaries are still willing and able to share Jesus’ Gospel of hope.
Now is the time to wisely invest great commission funds in supporting many more indigenous missionaries like Kiran. Kiran can’t raise funds to support ministry in Pakistan. June is historically our second-largest month of gift income as the Lord fuels us to launch powerfully into our next ministry year. Can you help this year?
Never underestimate the impact of one committed indigenous missionary. Never underestimate the impact of one generous gift to empower them.
For the Unreached,
Jack Nelson
P.S. Your generous gift by June 30th will be doubled up to $30,000 to empower new indigenous missionaries to reach more unreached people.
